Good book.

This book of poetry is lovely if you're into that sort of thing. I bought it for a class, and I found many poems that really spoke to me. I found just as many that I didn't understand. Truth is, Rumi wrote a lot about love and the spirit and the afterlife. Only buy if you're already a fan of Rumi.

Powerful poem story-book in that it brings back a lifetime of history forgotten while spreading and developing a new sense of religion and personal analysis into his own poetry. Highly recommended; this book is necessary to understand the basic rules of how Rumi thought philosophically and how he created a science out of spreading his life-changing poetry until this day. This book helped me in my class complete my final paper. Rumi=awesome

Home base for many of us -- along with Jung -- only recently did I appreciate who came first along this road!Rumi, as Muslim mystic, also founded the Whirling Dervish branch of Sufism -- for men AND women, we now know -- in Konya, Turkey.(it's worth the trip)

This is an amazing work and translation. I have read a couple other translations, though none compare to this. Even though capturing the essence of the original Rumi is nigh impossible, this is the wine that is least diluted.

Love all the poems. It just in soul. Highly recommended when alone on a vacation with the beach or when you need some break.
