I've only had it applied for about a week, and used for the first time today. I must say, this is pretty cool stuff! The rubber texture is exactly what I was looking for. It has a nice grippy feel WITHOUT irritating my skin. Thickness is just right to give it a feel without adding much.When applying I found it very malleable, and easy to cut. With a little heat it becomes even easier to form over difficult arias, and almost seems to help it stick. The adhesive (from my experience) seems properly tacky and durable. I can't speak to how long it will last, but I expect it to perform well.This is installed on my Glock 43, and I even built up a few layers on the back strap to improve the handguns feel. Cutting the product for a grip was tricky, and I don't see "EVERYONE" being able to do this properly. However, if you are a DIY'er, crafty, artistic, good at tooling, or looking at this product with confidence, you will be fine.

I normally don't write many reviews, but this needs to be said. In the past I had tried many rubber grips, gips enhancers, sprays, and even skateboard tape for my service issued Glock, but they either made the grip too large, didn't fit properly, or were so abrasive they would scuff up my uniform. After years of trying to find that perfect fit I came upon this product on Amazon.What intrigued the most was that it comes as two flat strips of rubberized tape, and although I had to spend a little time cutting it to my exact fit, I found it fits MY natural grip. I just place the rubber tape where I need the support. Additionally, the 2 strips were enough for both my Glock and my XD40. Best of all, it's so inexpensive what did I have to loose. Now let me be the first to say that this stuff is not pretty, but then again neither am I, but I have always considered my Glock, both on and off duty, as a tool: just as a hammer is to a carpenter. I guess the bottom line is that it's that for the price of a mac & fries you get a customized non-abrasive grip that is removable and that stands up to everyday use. All in all, it's great stuff!!!************************2 Year Follow Up.... It's been two years now and the original tape is still in place and functioning great. For the life of me I can not understand why others state that their GT-5000 Grip Tape falls off. or that there are better alternatives. Did they prep their surfaces (clean) to remove any dirt, grease, body oil, other residue, etc...? Like many products, it's all in the preparation. As for my tape, it's still on both my Glock and Springfield XD, as well as now on my hunting rifle, muzzleloader, tree stand, and many other outdoor/hunting accessories. Four/Five stars. Really good product. Seems to be wearing well. Application not terribly difficult. Per the instructions, create a template, take your time and this stuff should stay put and offer the additional grip you're looking for.Have used on a couple of pistols and really like the feel/function.Can't attest to longevity just yet, but expect it to stick, stay and wear for a long time.Although I haven't tried, removal seems easy enough.Can see numerous other applications, but can't afford to use as liberally as desired...Probably should bite the bullet (pun intended!) and get a couple of packs; you'll use them.Recommend.

I ordered this and the Talon pre-cut grip for my Glock 26 after doing a grip reduction where I removed the finger grooves. The texture and grippiness are very similar, though the Talon felt slightly thinner. I kept the GT-5000 and returned the Talon. Although the Talon is convenient to apply, I decided I'd rather apply the material only where I needed it - on the backstrap and front of the grip, under the trigger guard and a couple of other spots on the frame where my fingers touched. Didn't need the full coverage on the sides. It's easy to cut this to the exact size you need it - just look at the way the Talon is cut for guidance. The adhesive seems very strong - no peeling at the edges so far. Be sure to degrease before application. I also heated it with a hair dryer after applying. With three decent sized strips, there's a lot left over for another gun or other uses. Talon also sells a 5 x 7" sheet like this, but it's about twice the price and you get 30% less material.
