Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food Flower & Vegetable, 4.5 lb.

I have been using Osmocote for years on my flowers and vegetables. I get the most beautiful crop of tomatoes on just tow plants every summer with it and only have to mix it in the soil one time as the pellets are slow release. I was so happy to see it here as my garden store has been pushing other things on me that I won't try as I know this works well. THey probably make more money on the other products.

I've used this brand of time-release fertilizer for my flower beds for many year. The flowers respond beautifully follow administration by sprinkling on the planting bed followed by healthy dose or water (or you can wait for rain). A good thing is that I've never OVER-fertilized - so I continue to use Osmocote. I was surprised to see this product at Amazon. Saves a trip to the nursery.

I use Osmocote in NH in the spring and in late fall in southern Florida, when I plant small nursery grown plants . I use this on foliage or flowering plants. The foliage stays very green and grows rapidly. I supplement flowering plants every two or three weeks in Florida with Miracle Grow because the soil is sandy and I want abundant flowers. In NH, I only use the Miracle Grow in the Spring to get a rapid takeoff and in the fall when the plants are getting a little tired. I also trim the annuals in NH because of rapid foliage growth. I have used this method for years.

My MIL suggested this product for our Three Sisters garden (corn, pole beans and pumpkins). I don't have a lot of scientific knowledge about the chemistry of vegetable gardening, but I do know that this year for the first time, the pumpkins actually set fruit! I mixed Osmocote with the bagged soil we used, and throughout the summer I would throw a handful on top of each mound about once a month. Presto! Wonderful results this year, even with the New England drought that ruined so much. I will definitely be ordering more next year.

Easy to use. Everything I treated with Osmocote iw doing well. Easier to use than having blue hands after mixing another brand with water.

Once at the start of each summer, I put this out on all of my shrubs and let them ride. I don't have to mess with anything for the entirety of the summer. You just can't beat that. Everything grows well and looks great.

This product is easy to use. The fertilizer is effective and slowly released to be utilized by plants. Great product!!!!!
