Joey W. Hill
If you need a new favorite author to read, she’s right here. I’ve read a couple of her books before and wondered why I didn’t keep on reading more. Just Wow! And I’m picky about what authors I will buy from. Free I will do, buying not so much. I’ll buy Joey Hills!

I loved it.
I didn’t think I wanted to read this book, the first book ended so perfectly for me that I didn’t want to spoil the last image of the first book. Dude I was so wrong! I loved this book even more then the first! It’s everything the sweet and loving way he cares for her and how she falls for him. I love the new friends you meet. The vampire spicy life is crazy good! The scenes are so amazingly detailed, I imagine is outrageously yummy. I cried at the unexpected emotions this book produced. In the end it was worth it for the love they have.

Good 2nd book, slow read, intense, BDSM with male submission which is not my thing really
This book was a faster read and more exciting than the first but it was still a slower book than I normally read. I’m not really comfortable with the BDSM with the male being the submissive so that made it a little harder for me to read but it didn’t take away from my review since that is my problem not the author’s. I felt Jacob’s true self came out more in this book and his frustrations grew as well with some of the vampire law/customs he had live through to keep Lyssa with him as he did love her. I wasn’t real happy with the way the book ended, I was hoping for more for the two of them but maybe that comes later on in future books. These books are so intense and dark, I may take a break before reading any more in the series but so far, I feel the books are well written, a little difficult to read because you have to really pay attention to everything being said or you miss something important but the book was a good read and I’m glad I read Lyssa and Jacob’s story.

Hands down my favorite of the series!
The Mark of the Vampire Queen is the 2nd book of the queen series following Jacob and His Lady. If you have not read the 1st book, PLEASE do so! It's the ONLY way you'll fully comprehend the storyline and the standing relationship between Jacob and Lyssa. Book 1 (Servant), introduces us to the vampire world, their hierarchy and the role mere mortals play within it. Book one also lays the ground work of who Lyssa is and the role Jacob wishes to play in her life vs. the one he has to play in order to be part of her life. These two needless to say, learn much about each other and now must face the ultimate challenge together (No spoilers). I'm not a big fan of BDSM so I mainly skipped those pages, mainly interested in the world Hill created and how she planned to resolve Lyssa's problems. Book 1 ended on a semi cliffhanger and book 2 (Mark) reaped all the benefits! This book was a remarkable read with a memorable battle and twists/ turns that will leave you feeling satisfied... and thirsting for more. Gideon and Mason are standouts in this book for me. I did not enjoy Mason's book at all ( queen bk.3 Beloved Vampire?), however; if Gideon gets a book I would def. read it. If you've read Book 1 and find it lack lustre, read book 2. It more than makes up for it. By the time you're done, you'll feel like you know Jacob and lyssa personally!S/N: If you do not like BDSM, skip the sex scenes like I did. I appreciate the story based on the plot that Hill created. And the Vampire world and it's politics is quite interesting the way she portrays it.Happy Reading.

Love Lady Lyssa
As with the previous book in the series, I was very much drawn into the story and did not want to put it down, wanting to know "what happens next"Again, as with the first book, there are some very intense BDSM passages as well as what some might consider gratuitous violence/abuse, so if you're not able to immerse yourself into another culture (the Vampire's) where that behavior truly is accepted and even expected by both the Masters/Mistresses and their servants, I would suggest this book may not be for you.In some ways I felt that the relationship between Lyssa and Jacob jumped farther forward from the ending of one book to the beginning of the next than I would have expected to happen immediately, but it was a minor bump and quickly passed as I got further into the story. What makes this book so very erotic for me is the overwhelming passion and devotion of Jacob. Despite his own dominant personality, the fact that he truly needs to submit to his Mistress because that is what she needs.I would not suggest reading this book without having read the previous story The Vampire Queen's Servant. I think it would be too difficult to understand the devotion of Jacob without that background.

2nd in The Vampire Queen series.
This continues the story with Lady Lyssa, the vampire queen and her relationship with Jacob. I finally got round to reading this continuation. There are aspects of this story that were it real to life it would be so wrong...paranormal aspect alone, but also those of sexual use and subservience, and of servant/slave, yet this is Jacob's choice. So I prefer servant. Slavery is to me, control against another's will. But this is Jacob's need and desire. There is a major twist towards the end of this story that had me riveted to reading the ending till 2am. I need to know how their story progresses, as i am more hooked on these characters and lifestyles than on any TV soap.It isn't true to any life i know of...but it is the work of the good fiction writer that brings such paranormal stories and characters to life.As a treat, i shall continue the series. I am pleased to note the prices have come down to within most readers price range.Couldn't decide on four or five stars but overall, borderline.

Great read!
This is the second part from The Vampire Queen's Servant. I just love the way Joey W Hill writes, the romance is very sensual and the sex is hot hot hot! I read this pretty much in one go, I couldn't put it down, real tears towards the end too! But then, I am a bit of a softy!

Love it
I love this book. Lyssa and Jacob are such strong characters. You just want to keep reading their story. I have read most of this vampire series and they are all awesome. They are full length novels that you can sit and thoroughly enjoy for hours.
