Overall fun
The game itself is very easy to set up. It has two decks of cards that just need shuffled and then the instructions. It’s easy to follow. Easy to understand and easy to learn. We are homeschooling family and so we love games like this. This really gives the kids a chance to practice, some of those language art skills in activity. It took us a few rounds to get warmed up to some really good storytelling. But the kids asked to play again so that to me is a good sign! However, the only thing that I think is a negative with this game, is the rating system. The cards are just mean. One of them said I would rather go to a dog funeral then listen to this. The rating system ended up making my child cry so we immediately ditched that. Other than that we love the game and it’s a lot of fun.

Great product!
This awesome game makes a fun gift! We have weekly game night with our life group and this fits perfectly into our taste in games. My family absolutely loves it and we all had a blast creating our own stories. Highly recommend!!!

Bought for the cards, not the "game"
I honestly bought this for the topic cards to use for my kids bedtime story. After years of making up stories at bedtime for my little kids, I'm struggling for new creative content and figured this would be a fun way to get them involved or for them to help tell the story.I read the game guidelines and it may work for the right crowd, its based off of telling a story on the cards your dealt and then everyone rates their story and how good it was. Might be a good exercise for school and creative writing?

Creative game for people with imaginations
I would describe this game as “guided improv”. Basically, when it’s your turn, you have to create a story by connecting the phrases on seven random cards. As you use each phrase, you lay down the card until you’ve incorporated all seven into your story. It’s great if you have family and friends that can think on the fly and have good imaginations. I think it would be a good tool for speech classes or even for kids to play and develop their creativity. Now, on the flip side, I have some family who didn’t want to play because they said they aren’t creative enough to make up stories like that. But those of us that did play thought it was lots of fun! I almost forgot, after each storyteller goes, the rest of the people award them points from 1-5 using point cards that have funny sayings on them.Definitely a unique game that created a lot of laughing and groans!

Works on creativity
I got the idea of getting this game because we play a stripped down version of a telling tale game when we go camping and we are around the fire. Each person has a turn a makes up a line of a story. My family had fun with this because they’ve played a version of it but this is more streamlined. I like that it works on our creativity. My kids are 10 and 7. The 7 year old had a tougher time with this but we helped guide her through it.My 10 year old had more fun with the rating scale because some of the comments are harsh bordering on rude. We try not to encourage that so you might have an issue.Overall it’s a decent game to add to your game night collection.

Just okay.
Not tons of fun and a bit challenging for younger kiddos. But if you’re into making up stories it is probably just what you’re looking for.

Funny, creative, storytelling game
So pretty much, you get a variety of unrelated cards that you then have to spin into a cohesive story. The more creative you are the better. I would also add this game is best for families that don't mind being a little inappropriate. If toilet humor offends you, don't play this game. That said, I went through the cards and pulled out the 12 or so cards that were the most "toeing the line" (Astronaut on the toilet, a large buttcrack, naked Barbie dolls, etc) and wrapped those separately. Totally fine to play with them most of the time, but maybe not with Grandma or younger cousins. To be honest, my favorite thing is that the kid's are just having a great time laughing making up humorous stories, but I love that they are learning how to be story tellers. They are forced to think about setting, characters, dialogue, rising action, climax, and conclusions while playing without even realizing it! See? Learning can be fun. Just don't be a stick in the mud.

Interesting game
My family got together for a game night, and we tried this game. We ranged in ages from 14 to 70. This is definitely better for those that are creative and great at telling stories. Some of us got hung up on what to say, while others had us rolling in laughter. You get multiple cards and must try to make each card fit well together into a story. This can be challenging, yet fun! We’ll continue to play this game and see how each of us get better at storytelling each time. I recommend it!
