First of all to clarify things, I bought the black ones - so its possible other versions do not have this issue.With the above detail out of the way, they arrived inside an amazon packet - covered in an extra layer of plastic, and then inside the small sack-bag as pictured. This runs fairly counter to the motivation of people likely to buy this, so I figured I should mention the packaging immediately - as thats quite a lot of crap when the sack alone would do it.Functionally speaking, the items themselves are perfectly fine on all counts - the only issue I have in this regard is that they are perhaps longer than expected and some people may find that awkward to adjust given that they are made of metal.

Excellent price and quality. Only criticism is the ridiculous amount of packaging for the size of product. The straws come in a bag, no need to then wrap it in plastic.

My grandad needs to use straws as he cant lift/hold a cup. They are great for cold drinks but awful for cups of tea and coffee and any other drink that is hot as the straw gets red hot. The straws are durable and are very easy to clean, we will use the for cold drinks only. I wish they didn’t ban plastic but if it helps the environment then I’m all for it.

So the review asked me what the flavour of my metal straws are like. Well, they tasted of zilch, I thought they would actually leave a metallic flavour in my mouth but they really don't. They arrived in a very handy sturdy pouch. Very pleased with these and would recommend them to anyone. Amazon have really speedy delivery too!

Love these metal drinking straws being disabled find they are brilliant for through the night fit in my Thermos cup really well can slide small opening for drinking through across to hold straw in place and water still stays cool, there is no odd metallic taste from the straws and the brush that came with straws really good for cleaning plus bag for storing them

Good value, they feel good quality. Shame they came in a plastic bag as the aim of the reusable straw is to reduce plastic consumption.

Very impressed with this buy! Colour of straws are awesome (shouldn't be a must, but it is for me!) I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a very mini bottle cleaner so that cleaning is made much easier stopping bacteria from growing but also so that you can use the same straw for different drinks. Linked to that is that although they are made of metal, the taste of the drink is not tainted in the slightest. This is so much better than plastic straws which are environmentally disastrous and the metal certainly last a lot longer than the awful paper ones a certain, "'M"' company is giving out!!!
