Fun Quick Read
At less than 100 pages, and in play format, you can speed through this book in less time it takes to put on the production, or take your time and enjoy it on a Sunday afternoon. Worth picking up before going to the show. Don't forget a sweater!

Great play, lousy printer.
It's a great play, but I am really disappointed in the book. Half or more of the pages are loose. Bad glue job. I haven't decided to keep it or send it back. Really irritating. But Ludwig does another fine job in writing.

Ken Ludwig does it again!
Another great play by Ken Ludwig. I've had the pleasure of doing a few of his plays and am looking forward to having a local theatre having tryouts for this one. I'm there!!

Do not recommend
Did not like this play at all. Outdated and full of tired tropes.

Contemporary Play, Classic Execution
Before reading this, I had no idea of the scope of Ludwig's work. As I sat and enjoyed the romp through the fun fairway follies, a romp riddled with golf references and innuendo, I reminisced about the comedies of yore that are so pleasantly wound and round like a snare drum. It was with utter surprise about a quarter of the way through the piece that several of the characters began to make reference to contemporary things, and flipping to the copyright page I was actually astonished that this comedy as well as Ludwig are contemporaries of myself. Those contemporary references were in the text because it was a contemporary play.I enjoyed this little comedy, and really give Ludwig a great deal of credit for emulating my favorite style of comedy - the well-written and plotted pieces from the early 20th century. While it began to wane a bit as the piece went on, the one thing that this little play has going for it is that it was written today, and far surpasses a great deal of the comedies that I have read and seen both in novels, on stage, and in films. Fox on the Fairway is certainly for audiences who would take The Apartment or The Odd Couple any day over The Hangover, and while it doesn't entirely emulate the greats, it is incredibly impressive for a play written in the 21st century. I look forward to seeing how this is executed on the stage very soon.

New, contemporary farce
An excellent farce, funny, contemporary, fast-paced, with an opportunity for stereotyped characters everyone in the golfing world, and others, will recognize and enjoy. As Ludwig intended, a great tribute to the English farce tradition.
