Kitchen Kare Acrylic Placemats Set of 2, 11.75" x 17.75", Clear

These fit nicely over all my decorative placements. I was having to repeatedly fix the white heat spots on my table from hot steamy foods that would still penetrate the placements. This solved my problem and also allows me to keep the placemats on the table without repeated washing. Exactly what I was looking for and I have small children.

Very disappointed. I have a couple of the same concerns folks have had for a couple of years looks like - they arrived with dings and scratches and the glue used to affix the product label stuck and left a gooey glob. I followed another reviewer's suggestion of using vegetable oil to get it off, which worked but only when I very delicately scraped it off with a razorblade. That of course left scratches. I've also tried to clean them with gentle dishwashing soap, Clorox Wipes and denatured water none of which worked completely. The placemats are very smudgy and I can only imagine how much of a mess they would be just from putting your hands on them to pick up cutlery or move your plate around. There's no way I'll use this on my dining table.One possible bright spot is that I got the insurance plan Amazon sells along with them so fingers crossed I can get my money back.UPDATE - The protection plan I bought DOESN'T COVER PLACEMATS. For real, the plan is only for kitchen items with electrical and/or moving parts. So, WHY is the plan offered as an add-on for these mats!?!? It was $2.54 so not a huge rip-off but I only bought the mats because I felt like I'd have protection if they got super banged-up. I've never had an experience like this with Amazon, I'm surprised.

I bought these for our two daughters (3 and 5 ys) to put on top of our regular placemats that I don't want to get stained. It works great and they are so transparent that you hardly notice them, exactly what I wanted! The only downside is that they are really slippery so they easily slip off from the placemat and plates/glasses can slip off to, otherwise I would've given the product a 5.

I had to put my own little clear feet so it wouldn't move around on my glass table when warm plates were placed on them.

These are exactly as advertised, and the vendor sent with no issues. However, I have another set of place mats that I like better. The other set us about 1 inch wider, and it has 4 "feet" that are like little drops of hardened glue that hold it up a little bit from the table. I wish these were like my other set, but otherwise these are fine.

One came nicked.

We just remodeled our kitchen and put in granite tops in Kashmir White. Since it is a very light stone, we wanted to add extra protection despite it been sealed. We bought this Acrylic Placemats and put one on each side of the cook top. They protect the surrounding granite from spills and stains, I can put spoons and lids on them, and give me a worry free work surface near my main cooking area. They are transparent but still noticeable but doenst look weird. It adds a bit of dimmension to the area. I am really happy with this purchase.
