Fantastic stuff and way more material for the price than the competition
This stuff has saved my car from pretty big rock chips and even a car that hit me in the corner of my back bumper while parallel parking. It is a perfect thickness and very strong/durable. It is optically clear as well, though you will notice the lines of the edges of it.I have put it in all the major pain points on my car. One strip on the leading edge of my hood (minimize rock chips), two parallel strips on the corners of my front bumper, two strips on each of the side mirrors, one strip on the handle edge of my hatchback door, one strip on the lip/entry of the trunk, and two long parallel strips on my rear bumper.Very easy to apply if you lightly heat it up with a hair dryer (before taking off the the protective backing). Then make sure to have a soap water spray bottle with you. Spray the car where you will be applying it heavily. Do not spray the tape itself with the protective backing on as it will make it impossible to take off the backing. Once the backing is off, you can spray the tape, the car, and even your hands to allow easy repositioning. Will work even on curves/contours. Once you have it in place, push out any air bubbles and let dry. It won't move at all (mine has been in place for almost 2 years now).Only negative I have noticed is that if it does start to get an edge lifted once in place, it will collect dirt on the adhesive side but this is expected and of course much better than get scuffs and scratches.I have no idea how hard it will be to take off or what the paint will look like when I do, but my guess is do the same in reverse...heat up the tape with a hair dryer and use lots of soap water to get it off.Might get another roll to protect all the door edges on the doors.

This stuff is awesome! It's actually pretty fun to work with
This stuff is awesome! It's actually pretty fun to work with. Don't liken it to putting a screen protector on a phone which can be frustrating and agonizing. Cut the tape to size and how you expect it to go onto the thing you're trying to protect. Start with something simple or try with a small sample piece. Clean the surface of the part. Use an ipa/rubbing alchohol mixture to remove fingerprints and any oil. Put some basic hand soap into a spray bottle filled with water. It doesn't need to be a super soapy mix. With your cut piece ready to go on, spray the part that you're putting the tape on with the soapy water. It doesn't matter how much you put on because any excess will be squeezed out. Try to reduce how much of the sticky side comes in contact with your fingers because the tape will pick up your finger prints. Smaller pieces of the tape can be slid around easily on the surface when the surface is covered in soapy water. When you're happy with the tape and where it lays, wrap your finger with a clean terry cloth and use it to squeegee the soapy water out from under the tape. The soapy water will come out of the seams and your terry cloth will absorb it. Once you've squeegeed it free of soapy water and air bubbles, let it dry for a couple hours.I used the tape on my mountain bike before a trip to Plattekill NY. Plattekill is loose shale and while descending, you frequently hear rocks coming up and banging your bike. This stuff did a great job of protecting the formerly unprotected portion of my down tube, chain stay, seat stay, top tube, and fork lowers. The painted surface of the frame below the bottom bracket got quite a few more chips from that day's ride because I didn't cover it in the tape. The only downside to this stuff is it has a soft, rubbery feel and will not clean up as nice as the painted surface you're trying to protect. I fell a couple times and scratched the tape and those scratches remain several washes later. I'll have to replace the tape on those surfaces to get rid of the scratches (duh).I'm about to use this stuff to cover the top of the rear bumper on my friends car. I figure it'll save the paint from inevitably being scratched by some luggage or other heavy cargo.

Great product, goes on easy
Great product, goes on easy, but the backing paper on the trailing edges did not come off leaving 6"- 8" of a 1/64" paper every 4ft, on a colored object it looks terrible. Use soapy water to install and a small squeegee for the best results. I contacted the seller about the problem so I'm waiting to see what they will do. At $40. a roll it not cheap but it does what its suppose to do....

Its so amazing I ran out of things to put this on!
This stuff is amazing for protecting bicycles and anything it will stick to, which is almost anything! Don't waste your money on the pre-cut bike bike frame protectors. I wrapped the whole top tube of my commuter to protect against daily locking and unlocking on frequently used bike racks and the chain stay on my MTB to help guard against chain slap. I even put it on the bottom of my laptop to replace one of those rubber foot-pads. I have put this stuff on everything! Except animals, because that's not cool. Why it is awesome: Its super sticky and easy to apply. It is crystal clear. If you mess up, it pulls off with no residue and in one piece. It is extremely useful to have around the house!

This is a great investment to protect your investment
I use Helicopter tape to protect my road and mountain bike frames. One roll let me liberally cover 3 bikes including top and down tubes, fork, and the chainstays and areas around the back wheel. This is a great investment to protect your investment! Easy to cut and apply. Use a heat gun or hairdryer to remove and it won't leave a residue. Use alcohol to clean your bike and then apply the strips after you cut them to size. Someone also suggested using the soap and water method. Put soapy water on your bike and then apply the tape and let it dry completely. The soapy water lets you push out air bubbles and slide the tape around to where you want it. Once it dries it should be good to go!

Super! Tel qu'esperé. Je l'ai utilisé pour mes velos et une partie pour le reservoir essence de ma moto. Et il m'en reste encore! Facile a appliquer, et semble tres résistant.

Five Stars
used the wet spray method to apply. It's clear and glossy. I wish they made a matte finish version.
