If you buy this, update the firmware as your first step. Hopefully you verified that your source device supports WiFi and that its drivers are current. If you do both of these, then this little gadget works like a dream. I attended a webinar a little bit ago and having the sound and images channeled through my home theater speakers along with the video being presented on our 70" television was amazing...I love online classes now that I have this as I can sit in my living room and just watch and listen to the lectures from the comfort of my living room sofa. What else...I didn't experience any latency per se. The display of the mouse pointer is not great, but this may be a function of how I extended my desktop to this display. Anyway, I love it for making presentations, attending webinars or online education, or just sharing content from my PC with others. Truly a great innovation!

I wanted a general purpose way to display my Yoga 2 Pro (Windows 8.1) screen output to our Samsung 55" TV.Hookup was very simple; pairing and activating was just as simple. Clear and easy to understand instructions were included in hardcopy and are displayed on the TV prior to connect. I was up and running in less than 15 minutes from opening the box. Video renders clearly on the TV (audio comes through fine too). I also tested with various videos, metro and desktop applications. When selecting the mode to mirror both displays, Windows temporarily modifies the resolution of the notebook to match the TV's resolution. Original notebook resolution is restored after disconnecting. This unit does everything I wanted it to do. Update: An added bonus that I didn't realize when I purchased this is that its also compatible with our smart phones. We have an HTC One (running Android 5.5.2)and a Samsung S3 (running Android 5.3). Both can connect and mirror their screens as well. It seems to take a few attempts to connect on the Samsung, but eventually it connects and once connected it does not drop.

Extremely useful. I am using it everyday to watch videos and movies on my TV, either from my Mac or from my Ipad. It works well I don't know how I would do without this device.

Won’t connect. I followed the instructions and finally gave up after 2 hrs. It will connect when wired to the phone. I’ve updated firmware and everything. I work for an IT company that deals with Tactical communications equipment. We all messed with it and trouble shot it. We concluded that it’s garbage.

The setup of this device gave me a headache. And the "hilarious" instruction booklet was annoying to follow. When I finally got it set up, I played YouTube on it through my phone wirelessly. It started to lag, then the video and audio glitched and it shut off. After, whenever I tried plugging it back into the HDMI port, and the device is ON, the TV does not recognize the device anymore and is basically useless. Tried multiple times to "Pls long pressing the button" to reset it to factory settings. Still nothing. I will be returning this product. Stay FAR away.

Works well as advertised. Took me awhile reading the instruction, in the end it pays off. Plug this dongle into your TV set, use the screen as Airplay Mirroring. Effective and easy to use, prefectly unit for a purchase. I would highly recommend.

The movie constantly stops. Dont waiste ur money on this.

Cannot read instructions even with a magnifier. Checked a few videos on YouTube and tried instructions on website but never connected. Don't waste your money. This piece is plain garbage!
