Great companion to anyone interested in Sports in Ancient Greece!

The book was good but the packaging was worthless. The packaging wasn't in closed and when I took the package out of the mail book it fall into a very large mud puddle. And unfortuately the book was paperback and now looks horrible. Wish the packaging was better. Very dissapointed!

I had to read this for a college course in ancient athletics. I liked it. It's easy to understand and not boring like most textbooks.

It's a very good book for a course on Ancient (Greek) Sport. I use it in tandem with Futrell's The Roman Games sourcebook both in college and now high school courses.
