Nightfood, Sleep Expert Approved - Nighttime Ice Cream, Variety Pack, Pint (8 Count)

I got the whole mixed bag of these pints, seduced by the promise of sleep and of ice cream that tasted good but with less fat and calories. The pints arrived frozen, but I noticed that after they were in my freezer for a few days, the ice cream seemed to shrink, and there was almost a half inch of space around the ice cream, in every carton. If I turned the pint over, the ice cream just dropped out.I sampled a few of the flavors, and so far, the cherry is the best tasting. But here's the thing: you will not sleep well at night after you eat this ice cream. It will give you gas like a three-day beer-and-taco binge. O.M.G. Oh, you will fall asleep just fine, but about an hour later, look out! You will wake up with a case of the farts that will startle you out of a dead sleep and if your partner is so unlucky as to be sleeping next to you, they will NOT be pleased.There are a LOT of additives in this ice cream and so many ingredients that I can't even pronounce. I was disappointed in the ingredients list and reading it, there's no wonder that this stuff gives you gas! Whew!If you buy this, save it for when you are outside camping. Alone. In the wilderness, far, far from civilization and the ones you love.

I don't know how Nightfoods makes Ice cream this sweet, rich and delicious with such low levels of calories, sugar and fat!Tastes like the best of premium brands but with a fraction of the guilt!

First let me say that I love ice cream. This definitely tastes good. Not as good as something like Ben & Jerry’s. But much better than other low calorie/fat types I’ve tried.The problem is the cost and the amount you get. The cost is over $8 per “pint”. And pint is in quotes because if you look at my photos, the amount in the container is more like a cup. One of my photos shows the contents in a glass 1 Cup container. And while it’s over the 1 Cup line, there is still space between the ice cream and the cup. I think if I packed it in, it would be pretty close to one cup.Whether it was intentional or not, the amount advertised on the package (1 pint) is deceptive. Given the price and the amount received, I will not purchase again.

So I have tried quite a few other products similar to this ice cream over the years. One thing I was looking forward to were the supposedly sleep expert approved qualities. But both times in the past week when I have had a pint before bed I found that I was actually MUCH more restless throughout the night. Could be a coincidence to be fair but I think that the actions are similar to melatonin which does make you drowsy but absolutely does not help your quality of sleep. I found the texture definitely NOT as good as products like Halo Top or Enlighten or Yasso which all have that slightly creamy texture. This ice cream seemed a little "slick". The taste was ok but again not worth the dollars compared to other brands. I give it 3 stars because it does have an OK taste and for the calorie spend it is reasonable as an ice cream replacement.

Was expecting it to taste like a health food product. Pleased that it tastes like actual ice cream! Not heavy, great flavors and perfect for a before bed snack with no guilt. Really good stuff I wish a local store would carry these guys!

I ordered the variety pack, and it was a nice surprise to find 4 of the 8 flavors are gluten free! This was great for my husband! So he is testing 4 and I am testing the other flavors. We love it! Creamy and sweet.

Very delicious! The best Part is it did what it was suppose to do help you clear the night time cravings & helped me sleep. Best of all it s Delicious!!!!!!!!!

I love this ice cream! It Tastes better than Ben and Jerry's at a fraction of the calories. Cold brew decaf is my favorite.
