This was a ift.

Works like it is supposed to. Installed on a custom gate I made to keep my father in law with Alzheimer’s, who roams the house, from breaking into my living room to steal and break things. So far it has withheld.UPDATE 01/28/20: Changing my review to 1 star. The bracket broke today without the the wood barrier even being on it. It no longer serves the purpose it is supposed to.

I think we have ALL seen these used on gates or for a security board on a shed or something like that. I admit, I didn't pull out a ruler and measure, I made an assumption that it was AT LEAST as big as the 2x4 board that it would be holding... but it is not. Or maybe a thick enough metal to hold a 2x4 in place securely, so it couldn't be shaken loose... but it is not. I'll eat it, I'll let them have the 11 bucks and I'll take the lesson.

I'm not using for it's intended use. I am inverting them an using as Gunnell tie downs for my boat. I am lining then with some heavy rubber to keep them from slipping and chafing the boat. Working great!

Help with a rustic look and secure the door

Easy to install work great, keep our double gates closed tight. Keeps the wind from working them.
