Worked great.
Is your chuck stuck as mine was? These will pop it loose.

Works As Intended
I used this wedge set to remove a WEN keyless chuck from a new WEN 4212T drill press. With just a few taps, the chuck released from the spindle. My opinion is that the wedge set is pretty expensive for what it is but it did get the job done. I suppose this is a specialty tool that is not mass produced/sold and that may account for the costs.

used to change the drill head for WEN 4212T
I purchased this to change the drill head of WEN 4212T drill press. Some of the reviews said this was too big for JT33, some said it worked for them. The wedge opens about 0.72" and the exposed portion of the JT33 is about 0.62". For it to pull anything out from the quill, it needs to: 1. Open wider than the exposed JT33 (0.62" in this case), 2. Can't open wider than the drill head or the quill (more than 1" in this case), 3. Thin enough to fit in between the drill head and the quill and thick enough to separate them when wedged. It satisfied all 3 conditions but I wasn't sure if it will separate the drill head from the arbor or the arbor from the quill. It did separate the drill head from the arbor, which was what I wanted. If it pull the drill head and the arbor out together, then I think it won't work for separating the drill head from the JT33 + 2MT (0.7" dia) arbor. Maybe that is why the reviews are not consistent?

Have not used them yet. Appear to be well ...
Have not used them yet. Appear to be well made. Were shipped with a light coat of lube to resist rust. Thoughtful in my opinion. Would consider this manufacturer first for future purchases !!

They worked great !!!
I set these up on my drill press, gave them one wack with the mallet and the drill chuck came right off. Beautiful !!!

The easiest way to get your chuck off
Buy these instead of trying to improvise and possibly hurting yourself.

The professional way to remove a Jacobs chuck.
There are many ways to separate a Jacobs chuck from a spindle. This is the only right way that won't bend the spindle or damage the chuck. I used these two wedges to remove the Jacobs chuck from a sixty-year-old Delta drill press (DP220). I watched videos showing an expert knocking the chuck off the spindle with a hammer and a large brass rod, it came right off. If I had tried to do that it would have bent the spindle. The chuck was seated so tight it took these wedges, two steel shims, and maybe twenty light hammer taps to remove the chuck. But it worked and I recommend these wedges to anyone who wants to do a professional job of restoring the wonderful old drill presses.

Wedge too big
This 6JT was too big to pop off the 2MT 33-6A-33 arbor from my 6A 33 Taper 0-1/2 in Jacobs chuck. The wedge opening needs to be specified and was not. The wedge opening for this #6 Wedge set was about .719 (23/32) in. I needed about .617 in. I ended up using this #6 wedge in combination with a #2 wedge (.584 in) to get the arbor out of the chuck.
