Great upgrade to restore functionality of my MSR Hubba Bubba tent
Better quality than original bungee cord. Good instructions on how much to pre-tension.

Works well
I bought this product from MSR store to replace the shockcords of a MSR Hubba Hubba NX tent. The cords were easy to install and the clip was a helpful tool. I finished the whole task within an hour with about 2 feet cords left. With the above said, as it was so easy to finish the replacement, I thought - maybe I could have bought some other brands which would be probably half the cost.Overall, this is a good product.

Worked great!
This worked great! Was able to get 3 tent poles completed with about 4’ to spare.

Exactly as described. Once you watch the MSR or REI video, its fairly easy to use.
On my last camping trip, I found that the dry winter had not been kind to the elastic of my shock cord. The cord was stretched out, the tent held for the night, but obviously the inner cord of the poles needed replaced. Seeing how the wait time for repairs at MSR are 6-12 weeks, I opted to repair the pole myself.Package exactly as described, one shock cord & 1 clamp. The cord it plenty for all the sections in my Hubba Hubba NX text with cord to spare. Both MSR & REI have videos that show how to replace the shock cords. You just need scissors and the ability to tie a knot. Optional: a lighter (to melt the ends of the cord), masking tape and a pen (to label the poles). Fairly easy and done in 30 minutes.

Worked for REI Halfdome 2+. Upgrade from original cord.
Restrung the five poles of a REI Halfdome 2+. After approximately 5 years the original cord was worn out (no "pull") . 5 years is a fair lifetime for shock cords although this is the first time I've had them fail in tent poles. The recommended 35% stretch worked very well. I had about 7 feet left over after stringing 27 feet of poles. 30 feet of cord can string 40 feet of poles at the recommended stretch.Compared to the original cord this MSR is bigger in diameter ~3mm compared to the original ~2.5mm (based on old stretched original cord). The MSR cord was a tighter fit because of the size but not a struggle. The MSR cord has three round silicone core strands bonded to each other and covered with a nylon sheath. The construction looks very good especially compared to the REI original in my tent that is two natural rubber ribbons inside a nylon sheath.Clip is needed for one man operation but a bit finicky and gave up the cord a couple of times (a binder clip might be just as good). Two people will be a lot easier. A small needle nose pliers was helpful but a small blunt stick or screwdriver would be almost as good. Tape measure is needed to get your stretch calibrated. MSR has a good video for the process.I'm a fan of MSR products and always upgrade my tent stakes to their Groundhogs. I was glad to see this made in Korea because I prefer my free trade be with free countries.

Fix it before you need to!
This was the right part for the job. And...actually a pretty rewarding project. Re did two different tents as the old shock cords were stiff. All good..

A Nice Cord, But Thicker Than What I Would Like
I think this cord will do the job, but I just re-did my tent poles and haven't had them on a trip to the backcountry yet. Since it was my first time to replace the tent pole cord it's hard to know how much tension is needed to be effective, so I didn't stretch very taut so the cord wouldn't begin to loose elasticity at least initially. I might need to tighten a little more after my first setup. This cord is more thick than what came factory installed.

Better than new!
I was hesitent to purchase this product versus some generic bulk shock cord spools available all over Amazon simply due to the price. I ultimately picked this becuase of the product quality reviews and MSR suggested this as the right product for my tent. I could not have been more impressed with this after installing into my pole set for my MSR 2p tent. This really is better than new and I had been dealing with the degrading shock cords for the past couple of seasons so I feel great about the product. MSR suggested a 35% stretch on these cords and that feels spot on. Just measure the pole length and multiply by 0.35 and stretch the cord out that much further. Not much of an exact science but this made the poles snap together really nicely.

Replaced shock cord in my Hubba Hubba 2
Easy to replace and worked well for my Hubba Hubba. Had about 6 feet remaining after a few off cuts.

Lo que esperaba
Me parece caro. Es una porquería que vendan esto porque las tiendas que venden se estropean estas cuerdas. Las tiendas no son nada baratas , como este recambio
