Volant 15958C Cool Air Intake Kit

Everything fits perfectly. Installed in less than 20 minutes. If you have the functional ram air hood for a gen 4, I would recommend this. Mine is still in the garage getting brake work done. But it starts up and sounds meaner than it did before. Can't wait to hit the street again.

This fit perfectly I’m very impressed, the car sounds better and runs better still not done building this car but it drives well and I’m very happy with this purchase. My car is a 2000 SS Camaro.

Easy Install, very effect at initial throttle response as well as over 4000 rpm. Well designed airbox to take advantage of Camaro SS hood. Just a note: remember to install factory air temp sensor.

OK, so there's not to much here, you'd figure this would come out of the box perfect, well not so....The rear hole where the filter plumbs out of was not drilled in the center and the hole was not large enough to fit the tube thru. The "Volant" badge was installed about an inch off of center. There was a small supplied air filter for the '00-02 Camaro, not sure what it's for and not needed on my '99, but this filter was never sprayed with filter oil. The slots in the tube which allow the hose clamp to tighten down onto the MAF were not deep enough to allow the clamp to tighten properly either. The main filter could have been sprayed better with oil as towards the ends by the molded rubber, it was still white. So after some modification it fits ok. As far as after market parts go, it doesn't surprise me that it needed some massaging to fit, but these things could have mostly been avoided by proper part preparation when being built. Perhaps the new guy was the one putting this one together. The box does fit nicely against the hood, allowing my SS scoop to dump cold air right in front of the filter. Still, overall after looking at all the options this one seems to be the most functional.

I have a 2000 Camaro SS.Kudos to Volant on the packaging! Each component was in bubble wrapping and tightly secured inside a nice box.Install wasn’t too difficult for me. I read reviews mentioning using a heat gun with the air duct, but I managed to set it using brute force (lol). The instructions were easy to understand and made the installation a breeze. The filters did not appear oiled, so I added some K&N spray. The rubber seal surrounding the box was a little tricky to get on. I let it set in the sunlight for an hour which made setting it much more manageable. The filter sets a bit to the right, but that doesn’t bother me.I didn’t think I’d notice much difference, but this car absolutely woke up at mid-range. It has more pull and gives off a mean sound when I get on the gas. I have also noticed an improvement in fuel economy, which is an excellent argument for convincing your wife to let you buy one!Overall, Volant makes a great product that I believe is a much better alternative to the competition. Five out of five stars.
