A Beautiful Watch
When i was thinking of ordering the watch, i was a little concerned that the blue of the watch crystal would make reading it difficult from certain angles. However, this is not a problem and it is a design feature that I have not seen on many watches. As a person who buys watches all the time, I was also concerned that like many other mechanicals that i have had in the past, it would be very inaccurate. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded and the watch keep time quite well. The overall design is very appealing to see, and attracts a lot of attention. The watch is not overall as heavy as i expected, but the body is quite thick. You really don't notice how thick it is until you try to slip it under a sleeve, and there is a noticeable bulge. The only problem that I have, and its more a personal thing really, it that while wearing it on my left arm, the winder is hard to turn because it is so short. After a few tries you will get the hang of it, but I think it would be better if it was slightly longer. The band is also on the cheap side, but it seems to be holding up well, so I cant deduct a star for that. For just the price of $35 you get a beautiful watch that is sure to attract attention, and no one needs to know you paid so little for it.

Surprisingly quite good!
So, despite what many of the reviews say, this watch works perfectly well. Maybe I just got lucked out, but I received exactly what I expected and am quite satisfied. The gold gears look almost real, the mechanisms in the watch are mesmerizing, the self-winding system works well (though you still have to wind the watch occasionally, for a forty dollar watch that looks this good I'll take the compromise), it arrived early and looks polished and shiny, all to top it off the blue tint to the watch face really sets this watch apart from other watches that are hundreds of dollars above this price range. Why pay more?My only critique of this watch would be the band. It is a tad bit flimsy when you are not wearing it. The soldering job that holds the links together is less than professional grade, and the metal is thin. When I take it off and set it down, I am almost afraid of bending it. However, if you are careful when taking it off you should be fine. When the watch is on it fits me perfectly, making all the links just slightly taught and giving it a more sturdy feeling. I already went to a local jeweler and picked out a nice black band that will fit the watch for around $20.00, so if it breaks it is an easy, affordable fix.All in all I would very much recommend this to a friend. I would definitely recommend this as a gift! Anyone receiving this gift would assume you spent $100.00+ on it. It is very nice.

Nice
Nice watch, Red tint and gold thin hands on top of gold background make it hard to read, i find yourself not just glancing to see the time but studying the watch for a second longer than you should. But it is a nice timepiece, need to adjust time every once in a while. But for the price, it's a great watch

Bang for your buck!!
This is very nice looking. Its well built and it tells perfect time. I have it set to the second with my cell phone and I've been checking during the weeks and its still in sync with the time on my cell phone down to the second. I bought this watch ad a beater because I didn't wanna wear my Rolex to work and have it get beat up. I have gotten more compliments on this watch then my Rolex lol. Its a all around great watch and you can't beat the price for what you get.

I'm keeping it
I'd assume anyone buying one of these knows what they are getting into and what to expect but just in case you don't, here's a head's up.Be aware that this watch is a full 5/8th's of an inch thick and weighs just over 4 ounces. The "Tachymetere" digits and graduations on the outer dial that go counter clockwise from 60 to 400 serve absolutely no purpose other than decoration and have no meaning whatsoever. If you want to see what time it is while driving you'd best pull over because you really have to look closely at the thing to tell what time it is. This, despite the fact that the bezel looks like Burgess Meredith's eyeglasses in that old Twilight Zone episode. The instruction sheet that comes with the watch is nothing short of hilarious. I don't know if they couldn't find anyone among the one billion plus Chinese who had any English comprehension or they are just purposely dissing our language but it's almost worth the forty bucks just for a laugh. The wrist band is not elastic and so you have to remove segments to adjust it. You can do this with an appropriate sized punch, there are arrows on the segments that show you which ones to remove and which direction. Honestly, I wouldn't go pay someone to do this because you may not want to actually wear this thing anyway. All that being said - it's a neat novelty and interesting to look at and watch as the little gears and springs move back and forth. This is why I bought it, because I love mechanical things. No, it is not a fantastically intricate piece of 19th century technology for which you'd pay the price of a nice car but it is a step above the Russian ones you can get for twenty bucks. Little kids think it's cool and it will keep them occupied in awe for four or five minutes. All in all, it's worth it even if you just clasp it around the little fake pillow it comes with and set it on the shelf. Of course you'll have to remember to wind it up each day because, after all, it is a mechanical watch.

Poorly made. Inner back piece broken off after 3 wears
This watch is nice looking and my husband loved it ..... but after wearing it 3 times, I heard a jingling when he moved his arm to discover the inner piece on the back of the watch was not properly fixed to the watch so it is just jingling around the inside of the watch. Had it for a month after a two week delayed delivery and my husband only got to wear it 3 times. Very disappointed since this was a birthday gift

Impressive for price but hard to read the time
A big watch which is impressive for the priceHowever I find it hard to read the time. Thick glass and little contrast between the background and the hands. So at the end of the day low score as it is not ideal for its primary function.

Better than I expected
Beautiful skeleton mechanical watch. Since I wear my watches every day, this will never need batteries- I love that it's a self winding watch.Looks just like the picture, nice blue tint to glass when looking at it on an angle. Feels sturdy, good for the price!
