Nice cooling

I bought this after a lot of research. My preferences were Japanese brands but I found Daikin to be expensive, Hitachi’s customer service an issue. I considered Panasonic as well but lack of feedback amuses uncertainty again. LG AC reviews look good but heard there some major problems few years back and they don’t make their own compressors. Samsung was too expensive(couldn’t understand why though). Carrier AC had mixed feedback and that they make Midea ACs from the same plant in Haryana wasn’t too reassuring. So I came back to the brand which has doing excellently in India for few years now. Customer service feedback was not good. The product feedbacks were better. I decided to buy this 4 start AC as it was only Rs 1000 costlier than than the 3 star ones. Few points on Amazon which I didn’t like:1. While ordering on Friday, the only delivery option I was getting was of Monday onwards. I selected Monday and then for the entire Friday and Saturday, I didn’t see any action. On Sunday, I saw that the package has been shipped and arrived in Ghaziabad and on Monday afternoon it got delivered to my Noida address (as per the delivery commitment). However, it being a Monday, I had to wait at home till noon for the delivery and could leave for work in the afternoon only. I believe the product could have been delivered on Sunday.2. Installation charges by Amazon were rs 1599 + taxes. While Voltas was offering rs 499. When I checked with Voltas CS, they said I will have to pay 1599 as I bought it through Amazon. Not sure but Amazon should have better negotiation with Voltas or product bands as they would be their largest sellers.Feedback of Voltas CS and Installation :One ticket was logged by Amazon right after the product was bought which said installation within 72 hours of delivery.I reached out to Voltas and logged a ticket myself. They were prompt as the ticket got assigned to the service Center quickly and I got a call in a few hours and they were ready to do the installation same day. I asked them to come next morning as I had to leave for work after waiting for the AC delivery. The time agreed was 9 am on Tuesday however the engineer turned up at 10:30 and since the installation would take up to 2 hours, it meant that I would be late for work again. Anyways, the guys looked more like a local service Center guys and their work was also of the same standard. The hole drilled to connect the ODU with IDU looks ugly. They didn’t have the right tapes. However except for the stand (which I agreed with their logic) they didn’t push for anything. Charged me rs 500 for additional 3 meter wire and 4 metered of drain pipe. Total bill was rs 3300. ( service - 1800, stand - 1000, wire and pipe - 500). The stand is available in aftermarket for rs 700 so I had to pay extra rs 300. Also, they left a mess of debris and dust which I had to get cleaned later.AC feedback:It’s been a week. The AC is quite effective. Chills the room in 10 mins max. The room size is ~130 sq ft. The fan in medium and high state is quite noisy but u don’t hear it in low state so after 10 mins u can turn it to low mode and it remains effective. AC maintains desired cooling in Sleep and Saver modes. Quite satisfied with the performance. Remote buttons are visible in night and big enough to avoid accidental changes however the panel is not back lit so it’s difficult to see in night(when lights turned off). The energy efficiency is to gauged as I don’t have any meters so will rely on the bill at the month end. I’ll update this review once I have assessed that.It’s a decent 3.5 star experience i’ve had till now. The reduction in stars is mainly because of the service experience from Amazon and Voltas. Very satisfied with the product (4.5 stars as of now. .5 deducted because of Remote which is unnecessarily big and isn’t back lit)

Ac is good .The chill effect is seen within fifteen mins even in 39 degree outside. Kindly do not get installed by Voltas service team . Better pay for separate installation from Amazon installation team if it's available or even any other installation team u r comfortable with. Voltas service team in Dindigul has taken 6000 for this installation. They have unnecessarily drilled a hole in my rented home in dgl even there is a provision for drain and gas pipe. They are not of sound knowledge and always call their head office on all issues for installation. From my observation they are mostly newly passed out diploma holders without much experience. Overall ac is working but the installation team of from Voltas is a nightmare especially when they say they don't know what's the problem in installation and keep ur ac installation pending for more than ten days.

This is a good product in the price range that of being offered by Voltas however the noise is the problem however this is a efficient and saves on your electricity bills. Cooling reduces after some time but is still better then any other AC in this price range. If you’re budget is low and you want a good AC close your eyes and proceed to checkout

I bought this AC on July 25, 2020 and was delivered as promised on July 27, 2020. The installation was done on July 29, 2020 by 2 PM and paid INR 1500/- for it. Everything seemed to be working fine but suddenly on July 31, 2020 (in 2 days) the AC stopped cooling. It seems like I am sitting in front of a ceiling fan blowing air only.I've raised the complaint with Voltas support team and hoping to receive a call and technician visit on August 01, 2020.Highly disappointed with the product. Shall share the status once I hear from the Voltas support.....August 01,2020...the service technician came to check the issue and found the installation guy did not connect the pipes properly becuase of which the gas leaked. Now, they are looking to cut the pipe and connect it again and refill the gas. I've to wait till August 04, 2020 because of the holidays.I've raised the complaint with Amazon. They would be sending their own technician on August 03, 2020 for analysis basis which replacement could be issued....

Bought it from Amazon with the confidence on it for convenience. Writing this review after 2-3 odd months. It is working fine without any issues so far and hope it stays like that only. Product has made sense and resolved the purpose. Voltas has been a trusted brand and we have experienced it's service from past many years and picking up Voltas after comparing it with many other brands was bit easier also considering price.Over all - worth buying Voltas split from Amazon.

The product requires extra refrigerant for every excessive metre of wire. And also it is compulsory to do installation only with voltas service personThese things should be clearly mentioned in the product details

The media could not be loaded.  Room size appx 130sqft. Cooling very good. Working fine.While installation, air purging must be done by mechanic but same is not followed specially when 15 ft extra pipe is used. Mechanic thinks that customer are fools. Rs 7400/- bill by voltas.Every brand must ensure correct technical procedures during installation.Amazon delivery was timely and satisfying.Thanks.
