This locket is very cute and exactly what I was hoping for. Slightly bigger than expected, but that is perfect as you can now really see the pictures inside.With that said, the title/description of the locket does say engraved. This is not engraved. It is too thin of metal to really be engraved like this. This is merely stamped metal. If you are looking for something thicker and truly engraved, look elsewhere. But, for $10, you couldn't get someone to engrave a thick locket, so there really is no problem.But, aside for the false description, this locket is great. The price is good. It is attractive and will hold large enough pictures to be seen.

I bought this for my 4 year old because we are going through a ugly custody battle and within the first hour the hinge got twisted. It is an extremely light weight material and the not secure. Also does not open and shut effectively I found high quality at a craft store. Also the chain broke it was in the back and the necklace is long for a child so that part doesn't bother me but worth noting

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter because she asked for a locket for Christmas. It looks perfect for her besides maybe the chain being too long for her body. I like that it is so large and we'll easily be able to fit pictures in it. The price was definitely right, especially for a piece of jewelry for such a young child. I think the quality is pretty good, but I will have to see how it stands up to handling by my daughter. I am very pleased with the purchase so far, though.

Bought this locket in both the gold tone & silver tone. Immediately returned the gold tone because the “golden” color of the chain was so far off from the color of the Locke it looked weird. This is NOT a substantial Locke…just look at the price!! However the silver tone looks quite nice, and the locket is large enough that you can actually size down an image/photo you have on your computer to fit inside without it being so trendy you can’t even tell what it is. The locket unfortunately does not come with a template to help you cut your image/photo to the proper size. Consequently, I made one myself just using scrap paper. This was very helpful.

Bought as a gift. It was nice and person loved it

I bought this locket to put my step fathers ashes in and attach to my bouqet at my wedding. It's fairly large (bigger than I expect 1.5 inches to be), but the necklace is long, so if you wanted to use it as a locket, you could. I super glued the locket shut with my setp-fathers ashes inside, then ran a bead of glue around the edges of the heart and it worked perfectly. It's not the highest quality metal, but I didn't need it to be. I don't think it'd be suitable for younger girls, I would think something more dainty would be appropriate. It served the purpose I needed beautifully.

The locket itself is very pretty and was just what I was looking for. I needed a Christmas gift for a group of new mommies that have been friends for a long time. The overall quality is cheap and very costume jewelry. The chain rubs harshly on your neck and makes an odd clinky noise with the locket when you move. It sounds like I hung a bunch of pennies from the bottom of my purse around my neck. I was expecting the costume jewelry feel but was really disappointed in the bridal shower mesh bags they were enclosed in. The company that sold this necklace printed their name all over the ribbon that sealed the mesh bags. It made the cheap necklace even cheaper! The locket is great on the new chain I bought though!!

i was glad to see another reviewer wrote "1.5" is huge". it really is! the locket is heart-shaped, engraved with flowers, very ornate - almost rococo-ish. 28 inch chain is a little long for kids. nice interior for photo's although with rounded backing it makes it difficult to place a flat surface like from photographs. it's decent quality - looks silver-esque to me but for less than $10 i know it's not. it is what my daughter wanted, so that is all that matters to me. it arrived quickly, in a box with a small bow. cute. i give everything that i review a grade. i believe that this merits a solid "B". i would recommend this as a gift for big-boned girls - i think most petite girls would get lost with such a big locket AND i think that the quality is fine for gifting to children but generally not for adults. i haven't yet put in the photographs so i can't comment on that yet. overall, it's very nice for the price.
