I got this as a test for my 2 dogs. One is a Newfoundland and the other is a Schnoodle. Both are picky eaters. I've been using this food as an addition to their current food to tempt them to be better eaters. It works! They love this combination of meats and scarf it down now. Next time I'll be buy a larger bag. Just wish it was a bit less expensive.

I believe that this food has changed my pup's coat. Its shinier, fuller and softer. She is an English cream retriever and is almost 10 months and we switched 1.5 months ago. I wish I had gotten this food sooner, as I feel like the other brand didn't help her grow right. This is just speculation and only my opinion. This food is more expensive than other brands and a little less than double my adult dog's food in price..(put him on Diamond Natural Salmon/Potato and its the first food I have ever seen him finish and want more of.) But to me its worth it. Its relieving to know I am feeding my pup a high quality food with healthy ingredients. It was either this or Hill's. It took me a few hours to decide and Nutro checked more important boxes for me like the trio of proteins.

I have always trusted this brand for other dogs. I recently added a new white Golden to my pack. His name is Danny and he absolutely gobbles these kibbles up! No need for any other added wet food. Just make sure there is plenty of water available. He is thriving!

We have a 10 month old English Mastiff puppy who is now 140 pounds and obviously loves to eat! I am writing this review because my puppy loves this food the best. I try to mix foods up, combining two in a serving, and she eats anywhere from 6 to 10 cups of food per day. Because she eats a lot I don’t want her getting tired of the same old same old. So, I have a rotation and to allow this rotation to work I did the whole small amount of servings first to get her body used to the new food/brand. I use Taste of the Wild smoked salmon, Blue Buffalo large breed puppy chicken and rice, Blue Seal’s Entrust large breed puppy and Nutro Ultra large breed puppy. Had started with Entrust only because that is what breeder was feeding her... but hard to find that food so started experimenting with others. There is no shortage of dog food out there and while I want her to eat quality food I am not going to pay $70plus for a bag. Never bothered with Purina or any other cheap foods which are loaded with grains and dubious meat ingredients! I did the whole dog advisor thing looking at the protein content (for Mastiffs need to keep that number between 24-28) and the ratio of phosphorous to calcium, as well as which companies have a lot of recalls. Anyway, I settled on the above foods because they are healthy for a Mastiff. And the one food she consistently shows enthusiasm for is Nutro Ultra. And while I was trying to keep her diet grain free... I made a decision to try this food a while ago and glad I did.

Seems like a good quality food, nutrition wise, but neither of my dogs liked it, I had to add broth or wet topper just get them to eat it, and they still would pick around. I switched to a different brand and they ate like they’d been starved for days! I’m sure it is good quality, but maybe the flavor isn’t so great, especially since both of my dogs had the issue and not just one picky eater.

Wouldn’t take my dog off of it! My pup loves it!

This is my squad of Siberian husky puppies. I have been feeding this to them since birth and fed it to the previous litters. The flavor is great. They get all the nutrients they need, they are all a good weight, have lots of energy to burn and their waste is easy to pick up. Their coats are beautiful if you can see. We have had no adverse reactions like rashes or itchiness like with other foods. No allergies appear. The price is about right for this type of product, although I wish it were less because I have so many to feed.

I like this product because my Westie can chew the smallest bite site for him and easily digest. Control the amount and not make it overwhelming for him. Great nutritional value 👏
