First of all, let me start by saying that I LOVE LOVE LOVE HASBEENS! These were my first pair, (I'm now up to four pairs LOL), and I have nothing but great things to say about this brand. I'm just getting around to writing reviews on a few things and wanted to be sure that I reviewed these first since they are one of my all time favorite Amazon purchases! :) <3 <3 <3.So comfortable and SO VERY CUTE! I wore these a couple times for a short amount of time to 'break them in' after oiling them with olive oil and letting them sit for a day or two to let the oil soak in. Worked like a charm. Highly recommend doing so to get a comfortable fit going. For reference, I had the tan color, so oiling did darken the leather a bit. (If you don't want to darken the color, try spot oiling areas of contact with a qtip on the inside of the shoe.) Once these have been worn a few times they really start to form to your foot. I wore these through NYC for a trip to visit my boyfriend who was doing a residency rotation on the UES for the weekend with zero issues. Wore them up at 5am on the train, on cobblestone streets, through Central Park, throughout touristy areas, to dinner, etc. Literally miles of walking. The only discomfort I had IF ANY was a small spot on the front of my ankle where the leather rubbed, and it was barely anything at all. That's pretty impressive if you ask me!Always get compliments when I wear any of my Hasbeens :)They are cut slightly narrow, so if you have a wider foot like I do, size up one size. I wear a solid 9 in a regular shoe, but always buy a 10us/40eur in these. If you have ever worn Birkenstocks or Dansko's, Id say the sizing is spot on with what you would purchase in those.Remember to give yourself some time to break them in and they'll fit you like a glove and be around for life!If you don't have a pair of Swedish Hasbeens yet, get yourself a pair ASAP!

I got my shoes today they were as pictured not to tight on my feet just a wee bit to small my heel was right on the back of the shoe but I saw that my big toe didn't even reach the top of the shoe so I push them all the way in to the top the heel fit perfectly in the shoe but I like wiggle room for my toes so do yourself a favor and just order up a size my size is a 10 in EURO that's a 40 I'm getting the 41 which is an 11 US. these shoes feel like with the right size they 'd be comfortable most ladies don't want to go up a size but these shoes look so small I'm sure the is 11 is going to look small as well and they'll be perfect, my heel will actually be completely on the shoe My daughter has a more narrow foot and she claims to be a 9 1/2 I still think she could wear a 10 US anyway her heel was hanging off a bit too I just can't stand to see a woman's toes touching the ground or heels hanging off the back of the shoes. So I mailed the size 10 (Euro 40) back on Monday I got my replacement pair a size 11 (Euro 41) and I have room in the toe and my heel sits on the shoe so I'm happy walked around a few ate on the carpet ant the leather doesn't hurt but as you would expect a leather shoe to feel like new so yes when you wear them they're going to be more comfortable son women have a wide foot or some may say a fat foot but shoes are something you just have to try for yourself everyone is different and everyone has a preference to how they want they're shoes to fit I know women who refuse to wear a bigger size in shoes and clothes because they want to be in a smaller size save yourself the pain and just "ORDER UP ONE"

I bought these shoes in Dark Blue Nubuck. I normally wear a 6.5 so I ordered a 37 and I find the fit to be good. I adore these shoes and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. First, the color is terrific. Be aware that the name of the color is Dark Blue but the color seems closer to Colonial Blue to me which was a perfect match to the pants I was hoping to wear with them. The nubuck looks a little bit sueded but not so much as to give the shoe a winter look, they still look summery due to the cut outs and the light colored wood bottom. The fit was as expected based on the reviews online. First, I love the height of these shoes. I very rarely wear high heels yet I find the height on these to be very reasonable and comfortable to wear - similar to a regular Dansko or Sanita clog even though the shape makes it look higher or otherwise more like a high heel. The length of the size 37 is perfect for my size 6.5 foot. The width of the left shoe was perfect. The width of the right shoe around the toe area was snug and so I needed to break that right shoe in a bit. Also I found the straps around the ankles to be a bit rough at first. I wore the shoes around the house with thick socks in the evenings for a few days and then I used moleskin around the edges the first time I wore them to work. After that I have found them to fit fine with no rubbing or blisters... I even wore them traveling in situations where I had to walk and stand for hours and no problems at all. These shoes look great and are very comfortable (after a short break in period), I highly recommend them, expensive but I don't regret this purchase!

This shoe is super cute but takes a bit of wearing to break in. The leather is not as soft as the Dansko but very comfortable even without foot padding. I love the lacy cutout pattern. I have worn with pants but will be super cute to wear with a dress or skirt. No blisters produced during breaking in period & I wear them without socks or stockings. Well made shoe. Shoe has a natural wood heel & real leather. Color is a deep black & not very thick. The heel strap is narrow when compared with the Dansko shoe similar to this style of Hasbeens. I have a 7.5 narrow foot & shoe fits me well. I purchased a 38 European size (U.S. size 8) & fit is consistent with Dansko sizing. I have compared this shoe with the Dansko as I have several pair of the Thea & love that shoe. I did not anticipate the Dansko model being discontinued thinking I would have plenty of time to purchase it in black but I can no longer find it in black in size 38 which lead me to the Hasbeens Lacy Platform and I am glad I tried the shoe. Amazon's pricing makes it a great compromise. Being a huge Dansko fan I found this shoe to be a nice surprise. I rated a 4 star instead of a 5 because it is not as comfortable out of the box as Dansko's are & cost is a bit higher than Dansko.
