This book is good for beginning readers. The story is a mystery and is interesting. These books are rated for different levels of reading and that is helpful.. I also found the DVD to be helpful when listening to the pronunciation of words..

An excellent beginning Spanish reader.
I use this in High School Spanish 2 and it's perfect. Not literature, but a good story. Fun to use.

I ordered a book with cd , but the extra information in the last line says supplemental material may or may not be included , I think should be advertised and titled as it is supposed to be sold

Good but expensive.
I am an adult learner of Spanish. I have done some non exam courses in the past. I am doing GCSE Spanish this year. My Spanish is not bad. I liked this because I coudl read or listen to it in the car without having to look words up a lot. So I had a more comfortable read. Very clear voices. The story was pretty good. However given that they are quite short and therefore don't last long they are pretty expensive otherwise I would buy all at this level and then move up the levels.

An excellent reading book for students
One of a series of excellent spanish readers for students of the language. Written in idiomatic spanish and with a gripping story line, it points up important points about the use of spanish and increases vocabulary in a very accessible way.

Arrived on time and well packaged for postal service. Definitely recommend if you are learning Spanish as book has CD in it. Personally I think the story is great and it's helped me, especially when I've had to write essays in Spanish.
