Beware - this is not activated charcoal as is widely miss sold. It is coal from the ground. I have an email directly from the manufacturer. I haven't yet tried it's effectiveness at filtering water but you should know what you are buying. Sold all over the place as "activated charcoal". It isn't.

Used to treat two Koi exhibiting medical distress in our large Koi pond.Separated and put fish in a separate isolation tank and applied three treatments over 3 days, following the instructions to the letter. Fish recovered and are now back into main pond with the rest of our shoal. Note tiny amounts of potassium permanganate powder needed to treat a 260Lt tank. Does come with a 1mlt =1.5-gram measuring "spoon" but we needed to use a 0.05ml measuring "spoon" to get dose right in our isolation tank. We have now bought a chemical balance to achieve better accuracy in future..

It works!

My delivery arrived with the outer Foil packet partially cut halfway open at the top, however the inner clear plastic bag was still sealed. The contents had began to clump together which indicates the package contents have been exposed to moist air for some time. Packet states to "Use within three months of opening", I fear this time has long since passed. Packet was obviously cut open, not something that was easily overlooked, and as such it should never have been sent out. Poor quality control.Did not contact seller or return package as I urgently needed it to treat a large pond, and had to use it as it was. It should still work, just less effectively.Two stars because of good price and quick delivery. However it was a lot of money for "expired" fish medication.
