Parkside Cordless Soldering Iron PLKA 3.6 A2

I have an earlier version of this. (Can’t recall the exact model number). I keep it at a vacation home, so when I saw this for sale a year or so ago, I figured it would work just the same, Actually, the buttons and layout are different despite it having the same general appearance as that trusty and reliable earlier unit.Unfortunately, this died after the first or second use. I charge it until the little light is green, indicating a full charge, then I move the little switch from “O” to “I”, which is meant to turn it on. Then I hold (And keep holding) the little button on the bottom and…nothing. The little light that’s meant to go on indicating it is “live” doesn’t light up. It’s well and truly dead after one or two uses.It’s supposed to have a three year warranty, but I can’t find the receipt from Lidl, so we’ll see what happens when I phone the service number in the instructions. Pretty rubbish.

Excellent product, compact, fast charging and gets hot quick

Would love to have given no stars, this thing is utter rubbish! Lasted less than 5 mins before giving up. I have 1 star as I kept the charger and the Li-ion cell inside. The rest went in the bin! Don't waste your money. Buy a descent soldering station instead.
