Works well in So Cal environment
This was applied over the reg VoC product. I reapply every 2 years and deck looks great after 6 years in the So Cal sun.

It protects the Ipe
This material goes on smooth with a simple 4” brush. Easy to use, easy clean up and so far it looks as though it a good protectant

Great Product
Our contractor really likes this DeckWise Ipe Oil because it was easy to apply. We love it because when it dried, our Ipe (also known as Brazilian hardwood) looked like new.

Hard to know about value, but product works fine
I have been buying this product yearly to renew the oil in my Ipe wood deck. I don't do that work myself, I have a handyman apply the Ipe oil to the deck (he power-washes and sands the deck before applying). Makes the deck look new again. I do it yearly, The deck is now 10 years old, and gets lots of central California sun.

No color added to oil
10/28/24This was a defective product.Our painter took one look and said it was missing any color, which all of the other contianers had color added.This is unaccectable and we should be credited for this defective gallon.

Recommended for Ipe wood deck
I made the mistake of initially using a common brand of deck sealer on my new Ipe wood deck instead of using Ipe oil. I didn’t like the look of the sealer on my beautiful deck. It took time and effort to sand off the old sealer but it was necessary before I could apply the Ipe oil. The Ipe oil is sheer and soaks in as opposed to the previous sealer that just coated the deck. The beauty of the wood shows through with Ipe oil. I clean the deck and reapply Ipe oil once a year. Pricey but it works.
