Very nice
Love the low vibration. But, doesn't have that runaway top speed that some of my cheapos have. That comes in handy occasionaly...

Four Stars
It's pretty smoothe but I don't like the all plastic design and the air regulator is touchy.

Great intermediate sander. Works better than the 250$ snap on. Not too fine, not too harsh.

Hutchins sander
I have been using a Dynabrade for 8 years wanted to try something different, Hutchins is heavy and noisy I had to stuff a corner off a scuff pad to quit it down.

great sander but not the same
First of all let me say that i absolutely love hutchins sanders and would rather pay more for them then any other brand. Before i got this sander i had a 3500 which i loved but thought it was a little on the heavy side and it's a 3/32 orbit so i needed something for doing bodywork. The 600 model is way lighter than the 3500 (i think it's under 2 lb) and as they say is very aggressive. takes bondo down like there's no tomorrow. when i first got the new sander i didn't like it so much because it takes a getting used to after using the 3500 for so long. it feels like it spins a lot faster then 10,000rpm. that's when my problem came in. i adjusted the air valve and it worked fine but it seemed like the more i used it the faster it got. later on i discovered that the valve adjusts itself from vibration because it was all the way on high after a couple minutes of using the sander.the bottom line is that it's a great sander aside from the air valve "issue" but just doesn't feel like a hutchins. I would definitely recommend it to all body men and painters.check out the 500 model (3/32 offset) for painters

Junk
Less than 2 months use and handle broke off! Cheap and flimsy don't match the price for quality!

WASTE NOT -- Purchase a Dynabrade!
Thank goodness for the "retribution" achieved by writing a review. I bought this sander after it was rated highly on some auto body forum. I received it and immediately discovered it had no power. I make signs for a living and use multiple sanders for sanding all sorts of materials: plywood, high-density urethane, aluminum, and steel. I'm not writing as a homeowner. I needed this to work the way my old Dynabrade did. I sent it back to the manufacturer and they returned it--still not enough power. WHAT JUNK!!! Fortunately the pad broke off and I purchased a new Dynabrade. What a difference. Go with Dynabrade from the start!
