It's the perfect size to clip in your front pocket
Perfect size for using around the campsite or the house. To get the brightest light from this flashlight you will need to use a battery stronger than a regular AA battery as it will NOT produce 300 lms from one.I used a 1800mAh rechargeable battery and it was considerably brighter but, it still was not a steady 300 lms much less 500.Using a 2200mAh battery I was able to get 350 lms for 5 minutes. After that, the flashlight held a strong 250+ lms for almost 45 minutes.I do not have a 14450 battery to test it with as of yet. When I get one I will test the flashlight again and update my review.Does this mean you should not buy this flashlight? No, of course not. It is still a good flashlight and will surely come in handy when light is needed. or to slip in your purse.Yep, I would buy these again.

The first of the pair refused to light no matter what I did. The second lit immediately but the switch died five minutes later. I replaced it with the switch from the dead light so I now have one working light. I tossed the other, not worth sending it back.It is pretty decent for a 1 aa flashlight although the claimed 500 lumen is greatly exaggerated and the zoom feature is rough. However the quality is not there, it is cheap for a reason.Update:The second one has died after just three weeks. I changed the battery, cleaned the contacts, nothing. Spend a little more and get a reliable brand

Pretty decent lighting
One thing I liked about this for sure is that it is two decent lights for a decent price. What I enjoy about these two flash light is that you can actually change the focus of the light just by pulling lighting head forward. One thing I did notice that when you use the narrowest setting you can actually see the led cube outline. This can be actually quiet annoying. It literally looks like a bullet point list. At the maximum focus it does provide a decent amount of lighting. It is not going to be the brightest but it does the job. These two flash lights are powered by three AAA batteries and I am unsure how long they will last since I use rechargeable batteries. It comes with a small wrist band to carry the flash light. The material is made out of steal and will survive a pretty good fall but be aware if it hits rock or an edge it will show a pretty good scratch. It is a nice flight light to have in your emergency kit so definitely keep that in mind or in your car for a nice flash light if needed. Overall for the price and quality it is a good pair of flash lights. Will you be able to light up a room no but you will get decent lighting for camping trips or doing repairs.

Great, here's an easy way to remove memory/strobe
They both work, no complaints. Excellent light, excellent value. To easily modify the memory feature you can search for: "Attention! Solution for most of those next mode memory drivers!", look on pg 2, and just draw a thin (pencil/graphite) line on the capacitor to discharge it when off, & remove the memory function. Now when you pull it out of the drawer & turn it on, it will always start on the "high" setting, no more instant strobe. If you lose the 3 modes just wipe off the pencil line with your finger & redraw it thinner. They make a very faint buzz/whine on the low setting, don't know why. You can only hear it when holding it to your ear.

About worth what you pay
The lights work okay when new although I'm not a real big fan of the strobe effect, but all the lights seem to have it these days. After awhile you never know what you're going to get when you press the switch and the strobe will randomly come on occasionally. The lens bezel assembly that you adjust for spotlight or wide beam is very loose and I don't expect it to hold up long. But for an occasional use light to store around the house these are great and the price can't be beat. I would never make an everyday carry out of it

Got them for my kids to play with. They are definitely not 500 lumen. Can't really complain for the price but don't expect the quality of a Fenix or a Streamlight. The wide beam is good but when you focus it to pinpoint its a weird square doesn't really change what you can/can not see but its different. Not sure on durability as I just got them.

Perfect for our "go bag"!
Today Irma is just beginning her threats on three Florida coast, this coming right inn the heals of hurricane Harvey's devastation on Houston! Those we are in no danger from those storms here in the Midwest, we have decided its time to take seriously the advice to prepare a "go bag" "during favorable seasons". I purchased these flashlights for two main reasons: 1) size! As shown on my picture, they fit in my palm and I have small hands. I also set my tablet behind it, the small Samsung Galaxy 2 for comparison. We in small and light for our bags. 2) not complicated! These run on one AA batteries and are LED, so they should last several hours on one battery. The adjustable beam and strobe effect is an added safety bonus.

Great Deal!
I was impressed by these little torches. They are bright enough for most normal uses of a flashlight. For the price you really cannot beat this deal. They are made out of metal with a nice solid clicky switch on the end cap. Takes only one AA battery to operate, and I love that since my other torches use expensive lithium batteries. It is a good idea to have a couple of these on had just in case because the AA is such a common size. The batteries seem to last quite a while, although they do start to dim quite a bit as the power drains. I don't really use the focus feature for anything, but it is kind of a neat idea. I have been pleasantly surprised by these little things for sure.
