The Norton Anthology of English Literature (Ninth Edition) (Vol. Package 2: Volumes D, E, F)

Exactly what I needed for my English class.

I can finally actually participate in class instead of looking lost. I read previous reviews that some folks didn’t get all three books so I was really worried. Thankfully it was worth the wait. I thought I rented it but it seems I actually bought the entire book to own. Oh well.Thank you

College textbook which is hard to find at such a good price and delivered ahead of schedule. Awesome!

I don't know if this is like this all the time, but mine came as 3 separate books, so the page numbers are all screwed up for me all term. but it has the same stuff as the huge full size book so it's all good.

This book has a ton of literature in it for its size. I wouldn't say it is surprisingly heavy. The sleeves that keep the separate books together are nearly impossible to get the books back into. As someone who likes to keep "box" sets together I would have preferred a nice cardboard container. The text is small and causes me eye strain even with glasses. The texts in these volumes are very helpful, and the background information so far is useful and interesting.

I got this book for a college course. The newer works are the ones you won't find available on the internet, but even the older pieces come with great introductions to the period (Romantic, Victorian, etc.) and great intros for the authors, their own "[defenses] of poetry," and key notations that help the reader throughout. I do recommend this book to anyone who'd love to not only read literature but also better understand it as well as its authors.

I had to buy these books for my British Literature course, but still value them outside of the program. These are solid collections of great literature with informative introductions. The interior layout is also intuitive and visually satisfying. I ended up getting the set that breaks the different time periods into different books, which was way better than just having the one giant volume. Needless to say, everyone in my class was a bit jealous that I didn't have to carry around a brick.

This was the required set of textbooks for my Brit Lit class. It came in really good time (5 days or so, minus the weekend?) and in great condition. Five weeks into the semester, this seems like a good survey of the literature of the times. It has helpful footnotes and introductions, and the formatting is very comfortable to read.

Perfect book for my studies.

Bought this for a creative writing course I was doing, and when the course finished, I kept it because it was so interesting to have all these authors collected in one place
