Nintendo (NES) Rarity Guide

Not exactly what I suspected. He does't list prices, but thats understandable since those fluctuate over time and vary depending on how complete it is. What I didn't like is that he did not list the rarity of every game, only a few in a section at the beginning. I do like the complete game checklist in the back, however. Handy if you buy so many games in flea markets and such that you sometimes forget what you already have, or if you're just trying to collect them all. Not a complete ripoff, but had I a chance to see it beforehand I probably would not have bought it.

Warning! Do not buy! I love books and referenced for retro gaming. This book however is nothing but an over sized, badly photo copied, black and white pamphlet in book form. The author does not even bother to write any meaningful introduction or foreword and does not give any information about his so called rating system. There is a checklist of most games but I am sure you can get this off the internet and print it for free. Horrible!

This book is one of a kind for sure. The graphics are well designed, the layout is easy to read and understand. I like that it doesn't give prices, as they fluctuate, but instead provides a rarity scale that is explained in the beginning of the book. The scale is easy to follow and understand as well. It's a paperback book [as stated in description], and is in black and white [as stated in description]. The book is designed to give the collector information on the MOST RARE games. The checklists in the back have come in handy time and time again while collecting and include over 700 games. The checklist is in alphabetical order, making finding a game easier. It also includes the year released and maker as well. Great information for a collector who's serious about them. Great buy, as matter of fact, I plan to buy a few more for friends for the holidays.
