Blanket felt soft and looked good before I washed it
I have never seen so much lint from blanket. I washed it as soon as I opened it hoping to use it this weekend for guests.Blanket felt soft and looked good before I washed it. When I opened the washer lid, I saw multiple clumps of lint on the blanket and in my washer basin. Took a long time to clean up my washer. I had to dry it to send it back so I cleaned out my lint screen before drying. The lint that I got out of the washer, off the blanket and dryer lint screen, filled a quart bag which I am sending back with the blanket. Luckily, I am able to send it back. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Arrived in disgusting condition
Blanket arrived filthy. Once I took it out of the plastic bag and unfolded it I saw how dity and stained it is. I am not sure it is actually a new blanket

For hot sleepers or the summer slumber
Let’s say you “run hot” like I do, every minute of every day. What sounds like a waking nightmare when you just want to sleep fitfully? Waking up sweaty or not being able to get comfortable enough under a hot blanket to even fall asleep. That’s where this bad boy comes in to the picture. It’s great. It’s light and breathable enough that with a sheet, this is the perfect summer slumber combo. The cotton is soft, but not plush or flannel. The size is perfect for a king (12” thick cooling mattress), with plenty of material that you and your significant other won’t be fighting over scraps of blanket in the middle of the night. Also, it’s a nice weave that looks like it will hold-up...which is nice because our dog owns 1/3 of the king.Overall, quality is good. Had a couple loose strings after the first wash, but so far, no issue. Straight out of the package, this thing smelled like a baby Yeti’s diaper. Not sure what that’s about, Eddie Bauer, but it was pungent. The smell/funk/musk/doodie smell came out easily with the first wash, so it was probably just our UPS using it as a fart sponge, in transit. The reviews mentioning the lint explosion were not lying- I could probably weave a twin blanket out of the lint this thing produced. That’s if I didn’t have a life and cared that much. Folks: it’s lint. That is what your dryer’s lint trap is for. You should be cleaning it after each load so you don’t burn your friggin’ house down anyway.Overall, it’s a really nice blanket. I’d recommend this for anyone that wants a durable, breathable cotton blanket.

striped herringbone and straight weaves with 1" or so hemmed all around but tight weave holds blanket shape. Nice look
Eddie Bauer 213123 Herringbone Blanket, Full/Queen, Blue Stripe The weave is more than just Herringbone. In between the stripes is a straight weave line that prevents the blanket from stretching. I have always used Light weight summer blankets under my quilts instead of flat sheets which tangle up and are a pain when making the bed in the morning. They used to have abroad woven ends rather than just an inch of hem around the blanket. Now that is very hard to find. While this doesn't stretch out like a waffle weave blanket, the 100% cotton is not as smooth. At first I thought it was going to be too rough on my skin but it worked out fine. I didn't notice as I slept. This is very attractive, doesn't stretch and the tighter weave, although only hemmed, seems to allow the blanket to lay nicer and stay in place. I've gone through tons of light weight cotton under-blankets trying to find the woven ends that used to be common but it's virtually as impossible as finding a "full size" but this is 90 x 90" - some are a lot larger in the full/queen that has replaced full and I ended up not really needing full since this doesn't stretch so much it ends up on the floor. It was the nicest I was able to find and unless your skin is exceedingly sensitive and can't take a slightly rough finish, this is a nice tightly woven blanket that holds it's shape. And it's affordable. I've found it for as much as $100 on websites so this price of $52 for queen/full is very affordable. Watch your prices. multiple pricing of some items on Amazon can be up to double or triple manufacturer's suggested retail price. While this is "blue" it's a light cottage look that leans more toward pale grays and creams. Nicely blended and Prime lets you check it out and it's returnable if it doesn't work out.

Exactly What I Was Looking For!
I wanted a lightweight blanket under my comforter to add a little more warmth for the winter. It adds a light, snuggly weight and is very soft. Don’t oversize! The full/queen size fit my queen bed perfectly. My daughter liked it so much that I ordered one for her. The twin fits just right on her full bed. It washed well, but be sure to clean your lint trap. It has an attractive design and a great price. It’s new so I didn’t rate it on durability, but the weave is thick and tight so I’m sure it will last a nice, long time. It even arrived a day early!

Great Cotton blanket, tighter weave then most.
I like the feel of cotton and weight of a cotton blanket, not heavy and not light. This is not a thermal weave, and it is a tighter weave, less likely to snag. I don't understand why most blankets are only 90" long. On a 80" queen, there is not enough to tuck in on a tall mattress. I ordered a KIng and turned it sideways to use as a bedspread on my queen. works and looks great.

Really nice blanket
This is a nice blanket, well priced. I bought the king size mushroom color and it was a greyish brown and goes with about anything. It was plenty big enough and hangs low enough to tuck under the mattress. I have washed it and there were no little fuzzballs or pilts to drive me crazy. It's neither heavy nor light and is a perfect weight to have under a comforter in the winter and by itself in the summer. As it is cotton, it breathes very well and drapes well. Others have mentioned that it is not soft, all I can say is that it is not a microfiber material and it is not scratchy to the touch. I was impressed with it and was happy that I purchased it!

Very sub-standard product
Not what I would call "Edie Bauer" quality as one would expect.Made in India.I washed it as directed when first received. It said to change position during drying cycle.I washed it a second time, had as much dryer lint as the first time.Poor poor quality.Good thing they said that....THREE full lint loads from screen.Never had that much lint from a product in my life. You would think I was drying a sheep (I know this product is cotton but I hope you get what I mean)Cancelled my second order for a different colour. Not what I expected for an Edie Bauer product.

Stay away from this linty mess!
I have never had a cotton blanket with issues like this. When I first opened the package there were lint balls flying everywhere. I washed the blanket twice, each time it completely filled the lint trap in my dryer. It looks terrible now, with "balls" all over it. It looks like I've had it for 10 years! It still continues to leave lint over everything it touches. I've had many 100% cotton blankets in the past, none of which had lint problems. I expected much better quality from Eddie Bauer. I will probably end up using it in the trunk of my car because it's not fit for a bed.

Only for very gentle use
I used it to cover a sofa.It looked beautiful the first day. 3 days after I already notice a couple of threads coming out.A couple of weeks and it looks like it’s been here for years. So, I would say is perfect as a decorative blanket or for a very gentle use, but that’s it

Falling apart!
Washed this blanket as soon as I got it.. when I took it out of the washer this fluff was all over the blanket, inside the washer and ended up all over the floor after shaking it out. Blanket is literally coming apart on the first wash. Dryer lint was FULL from maybe 30 mins in the dryer as well. Would not recommend.

Hit and miss on quality
The blanket came fast.Sadly there were a lot of snags and broken threads in the weave. Thankfully it wasn't a gift. It was just and extra summer blanket for my bed. For the price it's very low quality. Seems very hit and miss
