Hobby Boss Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger I Military Land Vehicle Model Building Kit

Decent looking Tiger
I built this last year and am seriously considering building another. I love the scale and the fully workable suspension. It probably did start life as an R/C model, and it skimps on some detail. If you're looking to build something 100% historically accurate this isn't your tank. Some major gripes: track guide horns are not hollow as they should be. Side skirts and front mud flaps molded on. Two piece barrel, and barrel cannot elevate or depress. If you build it per plans there is a sizable gap above the mantlet, and you'll need to fix this with sheet styrene. Hatches molded shut. No photo etch option for tool clamps. Plastic tow cables.Having said all that, you get what you pay for. It's a great base to elaborate on. You get a plethora of paint schemes and marking options. This is a mid production tiger so there are no fiefel filters, and most mid productions are zimmerit coated, which is why I will probably build it again...chickened out on the zim last time around. There are some good build logs online to guide you around certain pitfalls. Do your research before building. At this price you can't go wrong.

Ich liebe es!
I am picking up modeling again after about a 20 year break. I wanted a larger scale model tank that wasn't R/C. This model is a great pick for perhaps a person new to this scale, or wants a large scale model tank that isn't R/C...by no means is it the most complex model tank for this scale, and I would say that it is somewhat simple (doesn't have detailed internal parts, the detail is on the outside). Here's the points of the model: Tracks are easy to assemble, individual link with pins. The hull, turret and most of the small parts that would be visible from the outside are tan, so painting is not necessary...but I did anyway. None of the pieces were warped, and fit well together. The model is R/C-able, as it has a built-in place for batteries on the under side of the hull, and the turret and tracks have gears compatible with motors to move them.Overall, I am very happy with this model. Highly recommended.

Worth it
First tank model I have built but it was quite easy, the suspension road wheels and tracks took more time to complete than anything else some pieces are hard to get out I broke a lot of the tools and just glued them together on the tank

Fun BIG tiger
It is a fun kit and can be made to look great.Does this model have some flaws? Yes, it is not the most “accurate “ kit out there by a long shot. But it is a lot of fun to assemble and looks awesome finished
