Doc and Pies Arcade Factory Classic Home Arcade Machine - Tabletop and Bartop - 60 Retro Games - Full Size LCD Screen, Buttons and Joystick (Blue)

Overall, this is an awesome arcade game! My family has had a great time with it since opening it on Christmas morning. All the games are, of course, exactly as you'd remember them from the 80's. My teenage daughters found games they like too. I was tempted to give this 4.5 stars, but since that's not possible I was perfectly fine giving this and the vendor a 5 start rating. The main reason for 4.5 stars is due to a couple of issues that I'll note below, but 5 starts because of the excellent service I received from Docs and Pies. Here are the issues we experienced:1. The shipper delivered the box upside down (despite the sticker on the box indicating it should remain "this side up". This caused the screen cover to come off. This was minor - we simply removed the ball from the joystick, and using a suction cup, put the cover back in place. If this happens to you, be sure to clean both sides of the screen cover before replacing.2. As others have noted, the ball on the joystick does unscrew while using it. As noted in other reviews wrapping the threads with plumber's tape worked perfectly to keep the ball in place.3. The player 1 and player 2 buttons were wired incorrectly so that pushing player 1 resulted in 2 player and vise versa. This is one of the main reasons I called Docs and Pies. Someone answered right away (I think it was the owner) and he immediately apologized for the issue and without me even asking offered me a $50 credit. Excellent service. The fix: Easy and really had nothing to do with wires. I simply removed the 2 screws holding the board containing the joystick and buttons. This took some care as the machine is well built and the piece of board was snug. I took a towel and a mallet and gently tapped the board up, being careful not to hit the screen cover. There are, for lack of a better way to describe, 'plugs' in each of the player buttons. I simply pulled them out and swapped them. Done! Works perfectly.4. On some of the games - Mrs. Packman, Galaga, Donkey Kong...etc., they didn't quite fit within the screen - the High Score at the top and a slight bit of the bottom are cut off. It hasn't bothered me enough to pull off the back cover and make the adjust recommend by Docs and Pies. Again, fairly minor.5. As noted, if you turn off the machine any initials you add for high scores do get deleted. However, the high score at the top of the screen does remain. I asked the owner if there would be any harm with just leaving the machine on (if you care about maintaining your initials). He said no and indicated he leaves his on.The last thing I'll note is that some folks noted that the volume was too high. Not sure if Docs and Pies adjusted that after the feedback, but we found the volume just fine out of the box. The other comment was that there were no instructions on how to change the volume; they've corrected this too by including instructions. In short, we love the thing - it's a blast!

Having played most these games as a teen in the 80s, I've seen many that claim to be original but I noticed many differences from original games. This is the first one I've found that is truly identical to the games I played at the arcade. Very well done and no regrets in purchasing other then I wish I had gotten sooner. The only thing I wish could change is I wish high scores were saved. Once you leave the game, they get erased, although, the originals would also erase high scores when turned off.

They say that you can return the item but it cost you $200.00 dollars hunk of junkJunk from the beginning then they tell us we have to pay $2000. To send it back it’s Junk they would sell it to someone else &. Rip them off

Item came assembled and ready to go. Very well packed for shipping from Florida to Ohio! The 60 games are exactly as I remembered them. There are no instructions for anything, but if you email them, they respond within a few hours to a day. Very polite and helpful! Volume can be adjusted by removing the back cover and going through a series of steps they will provide you with upon request. Very easy, although all volume levels are not the same on each game. I ended up setting mine a great deal lower than it came. No bonus lives when you reach point thresholds. They start you with a couple more lives than usual in most games, it seems. I just wish it included Defender. Other than that, it is exactly what I hoped for and I absolutely love playing it!

The family, friends and guests are very thrilled to find this fun gaming unit in my home. Even the adults are excited to play and it keeps everyone entertained. It is very sturdy, the variety of games are bright and fun. I am hoping they will all enjoy it for years to come.

Not wanting a big full size cabinet this was perfect. We put on a pub table. Everyone in the family enjoys so do friends. Total 80s flashback at a great value and seems well built.

Got the ms plan with 60 games. The machine is top quality and plays very well. Customer service is even bettier.the game selection is great for the Era. Screen size is perfect.
