Another great cozy mystery by Kate Collins
Abby Knight Salvare has her hands full: she is newly wed, looking to buy a house, dealing with her pregnant cousin Jillian constantly thinks she is in labor, and business at Bloomers, the flower shop she owns, is thriving. It is during one of their house hunts that Abby and Marco see a man (Sergio) take a nasty fall off a ladder. His wife Rosa doesn’t think it was an accident and asks them to investigate who would want to hurt her husband. Abby and Marco agree to take her case and while doing so Abby also quietly investigates the case of a little girl she saw at the scene of the accident - something about that little girl is haunting her. Little does Abby realize that her prying can put her in real danger.“A Root Awakening” is the sixteenth book in Kate Collins’ Flower shop cozy mystery series and is one of the best books in the series - is certainly one of my favorites! I have always liked the character in this series - they are one of the reasons I read the series - but I loved them even more in this book, especially Abby. She has grown a lot throughout the course of the series and, while she takes some not-so-safe chances in this book, I really like her in this book - flaws and all. I also love Rosa - what an inspired addition to the series! There are several storylines in the book - including Abby and Marco’s attempts to find the perfect house, was Sergio’s fall an accident and if so if not who would want to hurt him, the little girl who haunts Abby’s dreams, will Jillian ever have her baby - and Collins artfully weaves them all together. There is a nice blend of tension and humor in - one moment the book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat rapidly turning the pages to see what happens next and the next moment you will be laughing out loud. The mystery itself is well plotted with plenty of twists and turns - readers will enjoy trying to figure out just who did what - I was surprised more than once at how things turned out.“A Root Awakening” is another great cozy mystery by Kate Collins.

Excellent Read
Will Abby get her dream house? Will once again justice prevails? Step inside this wonderfully well-written tome and experience an adventure where your heart soars as Abby does what she does best and that is being inquisitive to keep on finding the truth because her gut tells her something is amiss with a situation that falls into her lap. Once again, Kate Collins had presented us with a dynamic drama that continues to be fresh, lively and full of hope. The fast-paced read pulled at my emotional strings as Abby took a stand determining to right a wrong. The author does a great job in moving the story along with the written words that put me right there with Abby. With the comedic antics of cousin Jillian, this was a pure delight to read. Rounding out the cast was the appearance of Maureen, her lovable mother, her her co-workers Grace and Lottie and we can not forget Marco who stands side by side with Abby. As always, the series continues to get better and better and I enjoy my visits with Abby and her friends. This is the best one yet and I'm eager to read Florist Grump in this terrific and first-rate series.

Kate Collins continues her fun series with this book in which Abby and Marco ...
Kate Collins continues her fun series with this book in which Abby and Marco are house-hunting and trying to solve mysteries at the same time. I always enjoy her books and this one did not disappoint. As a resident of the town on which New Chapel is based, it's always fun to see what Kate spotlights next. I know exactly where Abby's shop and Marco's bar are located, the law school Abby flunked out of, and many other things she describes. I always look forward to learning more about what Abby's friends and family are up to, as well. This time, the mystery was fairly easy to figure out, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the book. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Petal To The Meddle!
I have been a fan of Kate Collins since her first book, Mums The Word. This is now the sixteenth book in the series and it is only getting better! The relationship between the herioine, Abby Knight, and her hunky ex-ranger husband, Marco Salvare, is always fun, steamy and enjoyably complicated. The cast of ever-growing characters will have you laughing and cringing and pulling at your heart strings. The plot and mystery are brilliant layered and intertwined. The past few books in this series has really raised the bar for Kate, and she doesn't disappoint here. The ending of this book is incredible! I cannot express that enough. When you read this you will either gain a new favorite author or curl up with a cast of old friends. I can't wait for Florist Grump!

A Cozy Mystery
In this novel, the protagonist, Abby, is married, looking for a home. The family/friend relationships are appealing, warm. The mystery itself is well defined, but not particularly difficult to decipher. If you want to spend time with a charming detective and her friends as she solves a mystery, this is a good choice. If you are addicted to puzzling mysteries, this one may not be as challenging as others. As a continuation of the series, I would recommend it. If new to the series, I would recommend trying the earlier books in the series instead.

A Bouquet of a Story
First of all I love the characters in this story...think Abby need a Social Media Consultant at Bloomers? This time Kate Colin's wove two stories together into one beautiful book. I laughed-I cried, it was a great read and a clever story. I admit to being as curious as Abby is and I wish we had learned the back story for Daisy and Bud.
