“The Hanged Man” shows a man who’s skin tone is visibly darker than the rest of the people depicted in this deck (comparison pics included). The historical memories of African Americans being “hanged” in Western civilization is STRONGLY associated with this card. I can’t unsee it. This is very upsetting & I would never have bought this deck if I knew about this card. What’s more disappointing is how NO ONE has included this card in their review photos & I wonder why? (Major sarcasm). This is very disturbing, disrespectful, & tasteless. DO BETTER!

I just got this deck, and, so far, I really like it! It resonates with me as a reader, and the cards are a nice size and quality — easy to handle, shuffle, etc. I think the art is lovely as well — has a bit of an Old Hollywood feel. I’m writing this review because a previous review saying the Hanged Man looked African American while the rest of the deck was Caucasian is absolutely ridiculous, IMO. There are SEVERAL cards that appear to be different ethnicities. The Hanged Man doesn’t even look African American to me (plus he’s hanging BY CHOICE in a meditative state under the shade of a tree)! I’m including a photo of some of the cards that I feel represent various ethnicities (also the King of Wands simply because he looks JUST like Sean Connery, and it made me laugh). I just had to write a review because I truly believe the deck is getting a a bum rap — it’s quite nice and pretty diverse. I don’t find it racist at all. When you’re looking for drama you tend to find it. That’s all I can figure. The only reason I’m not giving this deck 5 stars is because the book could be better, and, I believe some of the Major Arcana may be out of order (just at first glance — not sure). Anyway, I really like it, and would recommend.

I've been working with Tarot for over 20 years and I have rarely disliked a deck as much as I dislike this one. This is one of those horrible decks that for some arbitrary, stupid reason changes the order of the major arcana cards. No. Just NO. Stop. Strength is 8 - ALWAYS. Justice is 11 - ALWAYS. because it flows as a STORY that way from 0 to 21. If you change the order 1-the story no longer makes sense and 2-you're ruining the numerological associations of those cards. You're not special, NORBERT. You don't get to change systems that don't belong to you. It's unfortunate because I like the artwork on several of the cards - particularly The Star card and Seven of Cups - but I have a difficult time respecting a deck that is this wonky in terms of THE BASIC STRUCTURE. Not only that, it's like they didn't try with The Sun card - it isn't even numbered. The depictions for Ten of Cups and Ten of Pentacles are AWFUL - lone figures for cards which represent happy family life and family stability and legacy? Ugh. Ew. NO. The art *style* is all there is to like about this deck and several of the choices are absolutely dreadful. I can't build a relationship with an inaccurate deck - it's like trying to make a relationship work wherein you have to ignore the other person's chronic lying. Just can't.

The artwork is undeniably beautiful.The box that they were delivered in was not the box that is advertised. The feel of the cards is fine and they shuffle well.

I have waited so long to get this deck, and, it didn’t disappoint! Scratch all the negative comments you’ve heard and please, try them for yourselves. Yea, yea, it doesn’t come in the advertised box...so, flipping what! There is a small booklet that comes with it, but, there are so many references you can go research this stuff from. The images are breathtakingly beautiful, right away I felt a connection. The way they are detailed is unbelievable. They are the perfect size, and glossy. They are a bit slippery when you set them on one another, but that’s just because their fresh. I’ve already blessed and cleansed them, and can’t wait to see what they tell my clients! So very satisfied I just can’t contain myself!

This deck is divine. I connected with it immediately upon receiving it and have had a great series of readings with it since.I am not a tarot expert but I do enjoy the process of learning the cards, analyzing their meanings and seeing what comes from the deck each day. These are beautifully made, creatively designed and are an excellent addition to anyones collection of tarot. In fact I would recommend these as the best "second deck" for those who already own the rider Waite. Many of the trending decks out there are not clear, detailed or full of symbolism which means the reader must know a mountains worth of information for each individual card. The wild unknown deck for instance, which so many people seem to love, while attractive, is not nearly as full of meaning, guidance, intuitive symbols or cosmic direction they're just a series of images. This deck is so layered with nuanced elements there is something of interest each time you turn a card.The fact that some characters in the suits are modeled after old Hollywood stars only adds to the interest intrigue and fun of this truly detailed and incredible tarot deck.I recommend it for both the beginner or the expert. And I think it's an essential to all people who love this exciting and intuitive art.

Love this gorgeous deck!!! It came in great condition, which lately most of my decks I order here are damaged or have some issue. The only problem is the box is totally different than the one advertised! I was kind of bummed about that. But it was a beautiful deck, so I don't mind, I'm keeping it. The lwb is pretty simple so I got the companion book for an additional $10. Don't have it yet though so we'll see if it's any good.The cards are a bit thin, but I've seen worse. Again for the price, $13, it's worth it. They shuffle easily though, so that is a bonus.I did not have any issues with the corners or edges being jagged. The deck is cut perfectly on the edges. Maybe I got the new, re done version and that's why it's a different cover to the box.Again, I love the cards. The pictures, especially the majors are beautiful, artsy, bohemian and retro. Lovely deck I'm sure will be a favorite in my collection.

This is a beautiful Tarot deck,very easy to read with meaningful images and a fully illustrated minor arcana.There seems to be some confusion with the reviews,as some say it is the book but having just purchased this myself,it is just the Tarot deck that you get and a small LWB with key words and a few spreads in it,not a actual book.

I'm fairly new to Tarot as I've been used to Oracle and Angel cards, but felt I needed a step up from what I know. I've looked online and in local shops to see exactly what would resonate and these cards do just that. The images on the cards are full of symbolism and they are beautiful to use and to carry out readings. They're the type of Tarot deck that can be used in all situations which is nice as it means not having to carry lots of packs with me at any one time.

I bought this book to go along with my cosmic tarot deck. As I really wanted a more deeper meaning of the descriptions of the cards. This book will open your eyes to that. As well as the authors point of view for the card. It certainly was an eye opener. At times it was quite political, but I didn't mind that. A really good read and I would certainly recommend it to those who want a deeper understanding of the way the cosmic tarot deck work's. This deck will give you accurate readings and won't hold back on telling you what you might not want to hear.

Got these as the cover looked good. The deck is full of movie star faces and doom and gloom images of disaster looming all over the show, lol. No wonder I dont go out often, lol. I ended up taking those cards out and then I saw what wonderful things were coming in the future..

A great deck that easily speaks to me with much clarity. However, what kept me from giving this a full 5 stars is that my copy of this deck was delivered a little warped. The cards are not as straight as they should be. Despite this, I still seem to be receiving accurate readings.
