Satin Ice ChocoPan Black Chocolate Fondant, 1 Pound

My wife got this to make a cake for my son’s birthday. This was her first time using fondant so she was nerves but the product was very easy to work with and turned out great. After she got it all on she used a kitchen torch to lightly warm the fondant which brought out the original black color

First time using this stuff and I must say it is such a dream to work with. I purchased oil based edible paint and it was very compatible . It is pretty darn tasty too. I don’t think I will ever go back to fondant.

Pay attention to description. Picture says Covering chocolate. Not chocolate fondant. As a result I thought I was ordering modeling chocolate not Fondant. Picture needs updated! Suck with $50 worth of fondant i don't want.

I was a little worried when I had a big cake to do and found out that I could no longer purchase the old ChocoPan fondant. I needn’t have worried. This new version is great! I don’t notice that it is any different from the old ChocoPan fondant. It works the same and as as the picture shows, airbrushes beautifully. For those who have never used ChocoPan, the consistency is a little different. It warms and becomes soft quickly when handled because it has chocolate in it, but it is easy to apply and looks beautiful on the cake. and best of all, nothing else can beat the taste! Highly recommended!

Chocopan is very yummy and once I get it to room temperature (it was delivered just before a winter storm) it was perfect. The color is a true black and did not turn my gloves disgusting colors. It holds its shape amazingly well. This is the perfect alternative to trying to use pure chocolate and sculpting it of using fondant.

Flavor not the best. I enjoy white chocolate but this did not taste like your typical white chocolate. I am a bit disappointed because I have used all of satin ice’s products. Unfortunately this was my least favorite. A bit softer than fondant. Beautiful and vibrant color.

I couldn't use it. It was as hard as a rock and no matter how much I tried it would not get soft.

delivery was fast. product is easy to work with. would reccommend.

This product was terrible. I kneeded it for such a long time and it never became rollable. It was tearing in just the rolling even before I could try to drape it.I am demanding a refund. This was for a large event cake. And I had to runout and buy some regular white satin ice the night before the event. Losing precious time.Complete fail!

We used this to make “Mac and Cheesecake”! We molded the noodles out of it to place on the various cakes.

I’ve used fondant for 20 years, including this brand. This tub was clearly defective and the product was essentially unusable. It was hard as a rock, and efforts to knead/work it would just result in crumbling. There is no means to contact the manufacturer or request a refund or replacement. Will have to throw it away.

This is the nastiest fondant I've ever tried to use. First, I thought I purchased modeling chocolate. That's what I searched when shopping. All I did was change the color options available and purchased it. When I opened it, it just felt different from modeling chocolate... sure enough the packaging read chocolate fondant. It doesn't give or stretch like fondant or hold and sculp like modeling chocolate. And I didn't know this wasn't a returnable item. Really disappointed.

Love this product. Bought it in black also. Easy to color. Excellent to work with.

I was so excited to receive my fondant so I can start making my cake. Since several reviews were mentioning that they received an expired product, the first thing I did as soon as I opened the package is to check the expiration date. I could not believe when I saw that I also received an expired product. How Amazon allows this to happen? Extremely disappointed.
