Vietnam War Helicopter Art: U.S. Army Rotor Aircraft (Volume 2) (Stackpole Military Photo Series, Volume 2)

My mistake . . .
This is a "retraction" of my previous review which I have, since, deleted. Due to my haste, I misunderstood a statement, appearing in "Vietnam War Helicopter Art, Volume Two, US Army Rotary Aircraft", concerning dates of events and personnel. My confusion basically was of John Brennan's book "titles". When I said there were inaccuracies in this current book, I was referencing a book not yet available . . . which is due out on March 10, 2021, "Vietnam War Army Helicopter Nose art, Vol. 2". Sorry for the confusion.

Great archive of cold war rotor wing a/c art.
Actually only bought this book because it recorded my old Army helicopter (UH1H - 69-15880) that I was the crewchief and flight engineer on for almost 5 years, but once I started reading the rest of the book, it was a pleasant surprise.Great collection of data, but the short blurbs of the pilots/crewchiefs/gunners are really fun to read.Might not come close to the ultimate guide to helicopter art, but is very well written and EXTREMELY well researched.(Image of me with 69-15880 just south of the RPK DMZ around 1989 or 90)...

Excellent Historic Coverage of Viet Nam Combat Helicopter Nose & Door Art! Great Gift for Viet Nam War Vets!
See my reviews of John Brennen's other "nose art" books - a set of four. As an Army Combat Helicopter pilot/veteran, I think these books are an excellent, must-have set of books for all Viet Nam War veterans. Great gift for veterans.

very glad I bought this
I got this as a gift for my dad who flew in a Huey for most of his 3 tours in Vietnam, he loves this book and its first volume as well. Really interesting book, very glad I bought this.

Historically relevant
Great book with lots of relevant art. Purchased as a gift for a Vietnam combat veteran who recognized much of the art and had a personal connection with it.

Vietnam Aviators Love This Book!
I was a "real live Army aviator" and I found this book to bring back many fond memories, including the photos from my unit at Bien Hoa (190th AHC). Buy it and the first edition...you will be glad you did.

Great book!
This was an excellent book, filled with pics and information about the names and graphics of Army helicopters used in Vietnam. It was a lot better than Vol. 1.

Living history captured for all to inspect
Both books are invaluable to historians and scale modelers alike. The images tell the tale of what men did in a tough situation to humor them selves and take pride in their units and themselves.

It is a great book for modellers who are looking for individual markings
It is a great book for modellers who are looking for individual markings. The book shows a wealth of personnel markings of all kind of helicopter used in the Area. However if you are looking for information about the helicopter in general other books will provide more details on the crafts. Here you will get pictures and descriptions only. From my point of view and for my purpose: Highly recommended!
