batteries do not work in Ryobi One Plus tools.....
I purchased & received a pair of Ferryboat 18v lithium batteries to use with my Ryobi Whisper 18v lithium One Plus blower because the 1 battery it came with sometimes is not enough. The Ferryboat batteries did nothing in the blower; absolutely no response at all. I tried using different chargers first; still no response in blower. I then tried the Ferryboat batteries in my older Ryobi drills (P209). They worked fine with these batteries. So I think these batteries work in older Ryobi tools; but they do not work in the newer Ryobi One Plus tools. Also these batteries are advertised as 6.5Ah. The bottom of them says 7Ah. I was skepical of the Ah claims because they are the exact same size as the OEM 4Ah battery the blower came with. To test, I weighed the OEM Ryobi batteries at 26 oz. The Ferryboat batteries weighed only 23 oz. Both are Lithium batteries. So there is no way they are over 60% more battery power at less weight.so, in conclusion these Ferryboat batteries do not work in newer Ryobi "One Plus" tools (or they did not work for me), and they are lighter weight, therefore less powerfull than the OEM 4Ah batteries. As you can see in photo, I own many Ryobi tools, batteries and chargers; and therefore I am knowledgable enough to give a honest review. I have messaged back & forth with the seller "Abright Direct" a few times but so far they have only offered a 20% discount on batteries.

All defective
First one of four out of box showed defective. Would not charge. Had to send a pair back even though one seemed good. Next day other pair I bought quit working after an hour. Would not charge. These are ridiculous. I realize not Ryobi batteries, but should last longer than a day and be able to recharge for 25.00 a battery. Do t waste your time.

Meh... Not good... Not horrible.
I knew these wouldn't be 7Ah... But I was hoping for, at least, close to 4Ah... Nope! One tested at 2,290mAh, 2,698mAh and 2,736mAh. The other (it was a 2 pack) tested at 2,455mAh and 2,525mAh.These were tested right off the charger with a 1A draw until the battery BMS shut it off. I think the 2290 result may have been using a different charger... Now two different chargers had issues with the empty batteries. But when I swapped it into the other charger, it charged fine. so be aware these may be finicky at low, empty state of charge. But I was able to charge it with a different charger when I had this issue. Now I was curious to see what cells were in these Batteries. And it looks like they are only 5.55Wh cells. So 5.5Wh = 1.5Ah @3.7V. There are 2 in parallel so at best this is a 3Ah battery! not 7Ah! lolThey were a little challenging to get them in and out of the charger. You really have to depress the retaining clips. I did not try them in any tools but the chargers engage just like the tools. These newer style do have a LED light on them which is cool but not very bright. This newer style does, however, only have 3 bars to indicate charge. Personally I like the 4 bar one better.Overall these aren't horrible. I wouldn't use them in high current draw tools. But for light stuff like lights, screwdrivers, fans? they will probably be fine. For what you get for the price, you can sometimes get genuine ryobi batteries for about the same Ah/dollar. So I'd wait for a sale during Ryobi days and get the real thing!

It provides your tool with extra and longer lasting power.
Everyone knows how frustrating it is when you buy battery operated tools but they usually come with weak batteries. The 4 amp hour battery was a big improvement and was the “king” of batteries for several years, and was a big improvement over the weaker batteries because it gave the tools more oomph. I didn’t even know 7 amp hour batteries were being made until just recently. I bought 2 of them for my son who has a full range of Ryobi power tools including a leaf blower and a circular saw. These batteries will make his work much better because not only will they make his tools more powerful, but they will also make the time between changes much longer. Anyone who uses battery operated tools will love these batteries!
