The Ultimate Book of Heroic Failures

How not to do things.
There are so many books which celebrate 'The Best Of' : this celebrates 'The Worst Of' . SP quotes a number of new world records : will the old record of four hundred driving lessons before passing a driving test will be broken? Will the record of number of lifeboat call-outs on a single voyage be exceeded? In both cases, the answer is YES !!Did you know that the fastest sending off in a football match is now down to one second, or that the worst angler did not catch a fish for forty years?Forget the Guinness Book of Records - buy this book today and celebrate the world of those sometimes eminent people who got it wrong.Mike

Fantastically funny
I had not seen this since the original came out all those years ago and I had forgotten how immensely funny it is. The selection of idiots and idiocies is wonderful and Pile's writing style is perfectly matched to the subject.Just buy it! It's only 3 quid and you won't regret it.

Absolutely hilarious
Stephen set the benchmark for amazing and hilarious outtakes, some of which are almost unbelievable, many years ago. He is still the leader of the pack!

Funny and interesting
Bought as a stocking filler last Christmas. Interesting and highly humorous read.

Marvellous
Was rather hoping the book might fall apart or be full of typos....Mr. Pile obviously didn't think that one through with the publishers. In a world of self-help and self-improvement books, this stands out as a monument to foul-ups. Do get it.
