Good system, kit lacks some essentials
Solidly engineered water control via wifi and mobile phone app is preferable to those clunky manual timers, as long as you are OK with the process of connecting to your wifi router. The kit contains 1/2-inch water supply hose that connects to the faucet control unit via push-fit. The 1/4-inch soaker hose connects to the supply hose using clips that puncture the hose and then attach. It's a good system. I wish the kit contained stoppers for the end of the supply hose since I am not running a loop. They are a $9 add on for 2 here on Amazon. 30 additional 1/4-inch fittings are $4 add on here on Amazon. I'll also source 1/4-inch supply hose to run water to a separate container. Note that these soaker systems requires a pressure reducer, and there is one included in this kit. Thumbs up.

Good value. The small hose is perforated.
The small hose is perforated. It leaks along the entire length. Not what I expected, but good if that is what you wanted.

Everything I needed in one box!
I used this kit to water flowers and potted trees around a small patio behind a condo in Las Vegas. This kit worked perfectly. It was nice to arrive with everything I needed in one box. It was completed and working well in less than an hour.

The controller broken three times and Orbit product support sucks.
I have four beehive systems and I must say that the hose timers are terrible product as they have broken several times. They have leaked, bricked, and failed to mantain connectivity. The battery has died and stopped watering without any other notification to me.The app is awful. You cannot hold a program other than telling it to have a rain delay. It was extremely difficult to set my personal weather station as the source for weather data, and only then, rain delays are only predicated on future forecasts of rain not how much rain has actually fallen. Because of this, you may have received 2 inches of rain and your irrigation system will still come on. I have been complaining about the lack of usable features in their app for years and even have the personal cell phone number of their product owner, yet they have made no improvements. To make matters worse, they used to answer the phone when you contacted them now they force you to accept a return contact by texting that will take hours. The app lacks many features and I would not call it a smart app. I have my own personal weather station so I know exactly how much rain I have received, but their app only works on predicted rainfall not accumulated rainfall. As such, it can actually trigger the irrigation to come on even while it is raining. Vice versa, it will not water when there is predicted rainfall and I live in the Arizona desert and we may not get that rain and the plants die from lack of watering. There is also no hold feature other than a rain delay which must be done manually each time for each system. There's no way to control the system by calendar, like you would expect in a smart app. So, if you know that you have a gardener coming every other Monday there's no way to go into the calendar and tell the system to hold watering your lawn every other monday. How dumb!Getting system to get weather data from your own personal weather station is quite difficult because they don't use wunderground or other commonly used websites to locate your personal weather station. They use a website I never heard of and it took me quite some time to get it to work.Don't let the initial price point sway you into buying this. It may be cheaper but you get what you pay for in hours of work and lost plants and inconvenience and lack of functionality.

Do not buy.
Should have watched the video from other customer. Came loose in the carton. Soaker hose fell apart losing 2 feet of hose. The soaker hose pours water out the tubing that did not fall apart. Timer leaks as well so I can not leave it on for the timer to work. Of course all the issues occurred after installing.

Very simple to install, targeted watering, saving $
Its a nice tool to have especially if you have multiple planter beds. I created a system to automate all my four plants. This is the fourth set of soakers that I have and it works like a charm. I use one garden hose with a four way splitter at the end and water at adjacent times. So great! We were gone for 8 days and every single bed was in perfect shape when we got back. The timers are rugged and should take on some years of use, I suggest that it is protected from the sun for longevity (my timers are inside a black plastic bin).INSTALLATION: If you have enough room to work around (I had more difficulty working inside my hoop tunnel) this is super simple. You build a square with one of the corners connected with the T and on the other side of the T you connect to the hose. Once that is in place you use the self-taping/self-locking loops which will be used to connect the dripping hose. Snap it in place, lock it and connect the soakers. Across. I like soaker hoses because allows me to replant new vegetables in different areas of the soil as opposed to dripping which is fixed onto a specific place.USAGE: I would recommend that the soakers are layered straight along the row of plants otherwise you will need to soak the whole area, which defeats the purpose of saving water that this can offer you. No leaks, no issues at all aside from what seems to be a feature. The hose adaptor that connects to the pipes has a hole that looks like a pressure release valve, however when the system is on water drips from this hole, and the instructions do not mention this “feature”, its not a whole lot of water that comes out, but I am not sure the reason for it. My guess is that so air can go in once the system is off to drain the pipes.Overall, I am quite pleased with this soaker system and would buy it for a new planter if I needed. Very nice
This is a great product, only bad thing was soaker hose, it works in the first foot or so only rest of hose was dry. I just ordered solid line and drippers.

It is a loop, so beware
I think the product would have been better if there was a possibility to put a plug at the end instead of doing a loop.
