Aero 35 clincher rim brake model
Make sure your brakes open to about 33mm at least. That will be wide enough for the 29mm width of this rim. They are super light. Acceleration is noticeably better than zondas or superteams. I’ve been trying to figure out why these wheels roll faster too. I’m riding 2 mph faster on the flats and descents of my normal rides. I think it’s because the rotational weight, although less than my narrower 50mm deep wheels, is closer to the circumference of the wheel and thus swings harder once up to rpm. Or maybe the increased width is more aero with my 30mm tires. Or maybe a combination of both. You don’t feel the crosswinds with these 35s as much as with 40s or 50s that I’ve used. They ride very smooth with continental gp 5000 str 30mm tires. Those tires inflated to 60psi expand to 31mm. 55psi is adequate for me, a 6’1 210 lb rider. I was using a 50mm deep carbon wheel from superteam before. With the same tires. These ICANs are smoother over rough roads at the same tire pressure. They are not as stiff though. On a full gas sprint or very steep climb they flex only slightly, but not enough to make me wish they didn’t for the smoothness they give on on the rest of my ride. They flex less than the campagnolo zondas I have. The superteams were a bit too stiff. More like a racing wheel stiff. I am close to the listed weight limit for these iCANS. So if you’re a lighter rider you might not notice. Since they have alloy nipples, be sure to lubricant each one with silicone or Teflon so they don’t oxidize and seize. The freewheel sound is moderate. Not annoyingly loud or obnoxious. I do my own wrenching and usually add thick grease to the pawls of my freewheel internals to make them nearly silent, but I’ve never seen this kind of freehub assembly and have no idea how to take it apart. Good thing it’s not that loud though. I don’t mind the sound. You’ll want to buy some better brake pads than the ones supplied with these wheels. Get the cork or yellow swisstops. The supplied ones will work, but not as well. The supplied rim tape is good. I’m not sure why they don’t install the tape before shipping… I think you’d need some kind of rim strip for running inner tubes, right? Why not install it from the factory? No big deal. It took me 10min to install. The continental tires went on with the use of one tire lever and inflated with a floor pump and no sealant. No compressor needed. Super simple. The tires lost 30 psi overnight, so added 1oz of Stan’s sealant. They then lost about 20 psi per week which seems normal. The rim tape is good.…Update: 1,000 miles later, I figured out how to remove the free-hub body and access the pawls inside. It not threaded onto the axel, or held onto the axel by a threaded cap. So, you literally brace one hand against the spokes as close as you can to the hub on the drive side, then wrap a rag around the free-hub body and grasp it through the rag with the other hand, squeeze as hard as you can while pulling as hard as you can. It will slide off in a sudden release if friction fit. Anyway, I disassembled mine because I thought the bearings were getting worn. It turns out that there was some dirt in between the where the inner drive side bearing race contacts the axel. (I’ve been riding in gravel in the rain, so not too surprising. After wiping it down, there aren’t really any sings of wear. I reassembled everything with about three times the amount I’d grease, which should keep moisture and dirt out of the internals. The free-hub sound is nearly completely quiet now. Just the way I like it. Super stealth. Hope this helps if anyone was wondering.

Light, stiff and fast
My first set exploded when inflating Conti 5000TL. I believe air was leaking under the tape and I was using too much PSI to seat the tubeless tire bead. Ican customer service was AWESOME and worked through the whole thing with me. I had my doubts after this mishap but they put me at ease and covered every penny of the return and shipping of the rebuilt wheel. I used the ENVE tubeless kit the second and it worked flawlessly. I do think ICAN should tape these before shipment as most buying them will want to run tubeless. So far these have been great wheels. Noticeably super light and good aero advantage when reaching 20+mph and beyond. Brake surface is smooth and they are a GREAT looking set of wheels. If you're on the fence have no doubt you're getting a nice set of wheels at a great price. You wont be disappointed.

Great Value
Replaced the stock aluminum wheels on a Specialized road bike with these. The 35 mm depth is good for riding in cross winds. The weight is noticable in climbing - huge improvement. These are far superior to a 40 mm cheap carbon wheelset I have on another bike. I paired the wheels with Continental GP5000 tires for a very smooth, efficient ride.

I love this wheelset
This is my third ICAN wheelset and my favorite. Breaking is the best of all the ICAN wheels that I have. They ride great and look great.

Keep Looking
Save up for something with a better reputation wheel set. Let the Pro win on these to build up a place for racers and recreational riders. Those giving Five/four stars have not ridden on a set of 1500+ set of wheels...its night and dayIts like comparing cast aluminum to Forge. Yes, they both can be light forge one is much more durable and responsive. These wheels seem to be okay as least compared to their customer service. And yes they are made in China 100%.Some of the feature do not even compare to stock wheels. Like the spokes and hubs very disappointing.Nothing amazing light but yes light. The Branding "ICAN" looks horrible and screams out "Hey here is the budget rider guy over here."Invest in sand paper to rub out the ICAN logo. You cant get half your money back on resale. Just a total waste.I have learned from experience that if the wheels are fine no issues with the Seller, but If you have a problem with the wheels you will have a problem with the Seller. And it is not worth the purchase or the hassle. If you order these from AP they will cover the seller horrible customer service.Good Luck RidersRecommendation Level: PassCustomer ServiceLogoComparison to basic stock wheel-set partsEgoResale

Looks Great!!!
Wheels good great. Only issue I had was getting the tires on the 1st time. When using a tube it is a very tight fit. Otherwise they roll extremely well!!

Smooth and Fast
First impression was they look good, second reaction was they were light and they roll effortless and climb really well.I set them up as tubeless with 700x25 schwable pro one tires. I rode them for the first time at the Solvang Century here in California last weekend and I love it!

Dangerous quality, non-existing customer service
Front wheel exploded on descent, after returning for refund/replacement was told I must have crashed (?!?!) therefore refunded only 50% of cost, I will never knowingly purchase from a marketplace seller again through Amazon as neither the seller or Amazon was interested in the truth that I was actually lucky not to receive a serious injury only to be told it must have been my fault! And this is the first time Amazon customer service has failed, was my go to online shop but their marketplace model just does not work and they take no responsibility for seller quality…I will never knowingly buy a Chinese import again, not just bad quality but dangerous!

Scoperta eccezionale
