I recently bought a podcasting mic that didn't have a proper way to keep the USB plug from dangling all over my desk. I found these magnets while searching for the standard velcro straps and am really surprised by how much more I love these. They are so much easier to use than the velcro straps, and work so well. I started using them everywhere in the house. They are the perfect size/length for cord wrapping. The cord is pliable enough that I can wrap it around whatever for it to be secure. The magnet strength is great, too. I am wary of using these around my desktop computer, though. Not sure if the magnets will affect anything inside the case (graphics card, hard drive, etc), but I love using these for other cords that need tidying! Great value for the amount of cords you get, too.

These will definitely work for cable tie like use cases. The magnets are impressively strong. They even held up a 16.9oz water bottle on my computer case and front of the fridge (see pictures). That was just a test. I don't really need them to do that. They will handle items about 2 inches in diameter (diameter of a tube of caulk) and maybe more with a bit of stretching. I can't speak to longevity concerns as I've only just received these things. Now I just need to think of more ways to use them beyond the cable tie application.

This is my second time purchasing these — they work incredibly well for keeping cords neat and organized. I use them for my iron, charging cables, coffee maker, and more. They hold better than Velcro wraps and are easier to manage. The colorful ties are not only fun but also helpful for organizing by color. Highly recommend!

Update: I found the killer app for these when I brought them to a craft fair and used them to attach my small plushies to my pop-up canopy framework for display. They were perfect!Gimmicky, perhaps not very well suited to the stated purpose of organizing cables, but a great deal of fun to fidget with.Velcro straps work far better for cord coiling: these little guys have too much length for small cords especially, and while the magnets are very strong, you have to wrap them a lot of times. Velcro straps also have the advantage of hooking semi-permanently onto the cord they're wrapping, meaning they don't disappear when not in use.But like I said, these are a lot of fun to play with. They work as fridge or white-board magnets, too.

These ties are a great versatility tool! I needed a way to tie my Loungefly bag handles for storage/display without something that would deteriorate or attract pet hair (like self-adhering tabs.) These ties were the perfect length without needing to stretch, and the magnets even helped secure both handles together. Highly recommend!

The magnets in these are REALLY strong and the rubber holding them together is also strong quality. They're labelled as cable ties but I've used them to hold keys, close chip bags, hold up my dishwasher door, stick things onto the fridge, etc. they have a lot of versatility and also the colors are cute!

Good price and easy to use.

These things are great! I found a million uses for them around the house. Cord management, attaching things to metal file cabinet, etc. My favorite is putting on the fridge door so that whoever is opening it is more mindful of shutting it. It holds it shut. If it should happen to be jiggled it won't just fall open. It also makes people more mindful instead of just looking in the fridge without thinking. My nephew also likes to play with them as fidget toys. I think I made his day when I tied a few on to his Christmas package. I will be ordering more as I think of more things to use them for.
