The Snorkel Book, Eleuthera, Bahamas edition Perfect Paperback – January 1, 2019

Eleuthera is incredible! Beautiful island and the snorkeling is excellent. This book was helpful. We definitely got the most out of our trip and the book helped us hit some nice spots.

This guide was SUPER helpful and much more reliable than random Facebook or TripAdvisor postings, which are practically the only other way to glean information about snorkeling on Eleuthera. Especially useful was the rating of beginner-intermediate-advanced areas and the criteria for each. These descriptions steered me away from sites that most likely would have been too challenging for me; I am a solid intermediate snorkeler, but would rather avoid strong currents and very difficult entries/exits. The access rating is essential as well; we have been to Eleuthera 3 times, and our rental vehicles have never been in what I would call prime condition. The road condition descriptions could save you from ending up with a broken axle and a very long walk back to the main road. Because of its 3-star rating we checked out Alabaster Bay, and were rewarded with the best snorkeling I’ve had on Eleuthera that wasn’t from a boat. Highly recommend.

This is a great book to buy if seeking to explore the island of Eleuthera. I highly recommend anyone to buy this book!

Another excellent book from Bret Sigillo (we also have The Eleuthera Beach Book which helped us out a ton on our first trip and highly recommend). Planning a second trip to Eleuthera and bought this book in preparation for it. The book is very well laid out and has a ton of great info. We LOVE to snorkel and want to try some new spots when we go back. Some of our favorite snorkeling spots made the book, as well as some new spots to check out next time. Cant wait to go back!!The only downside I had with the book is that I had a hard time reading the numbers on the maps. The orange circles are low contrast against the white text and the black circles are small. Doesnt change my rating...still a 5 star book...but just something I noticed.

If you are traveling to Eleuthera and love snorkeling, this book is a must have.

Appears to be a great resource. We have been missing good spots by a short distance in the past few seasons. Will test it out when we get to Eleuthera this winter.

I have been reading through the book getting ready for our March 2022 trip. It is very detailed and looks like it will be very valuable… I will see how accurate it is once I get there

However it has made the decision of where to snorkel very difficult bc of all the great information! Maybe we'll just have to go various times!
