All Without Errors
Used seatools to run a deep scan on all 4 drives I purchased, which took innumerable hours for a 4 TB drive. I'd say for the price these are worth the money with a 5-year warranty. But I had to knock off one star since apparently the internal records have been wiped. What I mean is the power up time on all four drives reflected zero, which I can't believe. That would be phenomenal -maybe. They did look like new drives, but I just have a hard time believing for that price. I would be elated, if the seller got back to me and could confirm that they were new.

Damn near new
I have gotten six of these drives now and they all had less than 300 hours with one having zero.

Significantly better than what I expected
Wow, pleasant surprise, took a flyer on this vendor and these drives... Excellent price with a 5 year warranty through goHardDrive on 2 "renewed" enterprise class HGST 4TB 7K4000 drives. 0 issues formatting these with 3 partitions for a MBP backup set. DriveDx reports both at 0 hours and in the green. I will update this review in 6-12 months if any change for the worse. Hope not...Got these because the platters from a couple 3.001 year-old Worst Digital 3TB Greens have now been repurposed as wind chimes on the back patio. Couldn't hold up to Time Machine and weekly CCC cloning. No Mas WD ever again. Yes , I know WD gobbled HGST, this pair were still made in HGST facilities...May 2020 update:One issue with both of these HGST drives. DriveDx has flagged SMART #3 spin-up time since I began using these drives. Raw value has remained constant over the past year, this parameter is considered informational by most hardware vendors, so I'll keep monitoring but it doesn't concern me. All other health indicators are at 100% in the green!

Concerned
I bought four of these, so far I've used two. The first one went in and worked fine, no issues at all. The second one is making noises that I generally associate with failing drives (I've been doing IT for a long time). However, it works fine and passes all diagnostics and tests, so I can't justify returning it. These do have a warranty, which is nice, so I'll just keep an eye on it. I would definitely not use these without an immediate and complete backup of whatever's on them, just in case. One other comment, these are "old school" big heavy drives that generate a lot of heat. They seem to be fine with running hot, but I don't know long term how they will be.
