Great grip, smooth rolling
I bought it for my rear on a YETI SB 100. Needed more grip. Decided to add 2.35 to front at same time. Both are great. Wonderful grip, not heavy and they roll well too. I am a Nobby Nic fan, but these seems a bit better for overall.

Great Tire - Its worth every penny
I've been a Vittoria Open Corsa customer for 10+ years after trying many brands averaging about 5k miles per year, I found the ride was especially superior. They did wear out quicker, but not so much more than other tires. It did not induce that many more tire changes. I was forced to try the new 2.0 model when they came out. I dont like change. But I have to say, these are more smooth and last longer. For people who wonder why someone should spend so much on a tire - Im telling you - it is worth it. The reduction in vibration alone reduces fatigue and therefore increases your range. Don't get caught up in the rubber, graphene marketing mojo. The trick IMO is the supple sidewalls. They feel like a t-shirt in your fingers but are very strong. I've never had a sidewall or bead failure.

Responsive with very reasonable grip
Exchanged a DHF to this Barzo for an endurance race for obvious reasons. The tire has stayed on for over 6 months on an Enduro rig (don't ask) because it performs. The rounder profile of a 2.6" size leads to higher responsiveness vs a more square profile such as DHF. This aspect is so good that it offsets the tractor grip that the DHF provides and stays composed considering the higher volume. This may seem counterintuitive, but it is a more sporty feel with predictable grip and a fun ride. Wear on the front has been impressive and better than 3C Maxis with no torn lugs.Up coming winter will see an Agarro mounted soon.Reference trails are in the Santa Cruz Mountains in California US which is mostly dry with more soil/gravel, some mixed rock bolder gardens, fewer roots and no large rocky surfaces.

Stylish & fast
Not easy to mount but I don't think you expected otherwise from Vittoria. Apparently it has increased puncture resistance but my expectations are pretty low. I don't buy Vittorias for puncture protection (or effortless mounting). These roll just as good if not better than the previous version. Something that's different about this G 2.0 compound I have noticed is that it tends to roll faster on less uniform asphalt and is noticeably slower and stickier on newer more tar rich asphalt.

On rails
I recently upgraded my front wheel to a lighter/stiffer combo. I mounted this but didn't change out an older rear tire from another manufacturer. This handled like it was on rails. Under hard cornering, the rear was constantly breaking loose while the front was set. Conditions were dry/dusty/hard pack in Bend, OR. Thoroughly impressed with the confidence it gave me. 20psi/ 185lb rider on XL bike.

Nice Rolling Tire - Not so good on wet roots
2.35 TNT Casing - mounted on front and rear.-It is a little narrow - and I have 30mm rims - narrower then the same size XR3-Faster than the XR3's and the Barzos have a more substantial sidewall-Cornering and general grip are good - you can tell these are really XC oriented/optimized-At low speed, like going up a steep technical Climb or traversing a technical off camber they tend to slide or spin out easier than my previous XR3.Maybe not the best back tire if you like steeper technical climbs. I went with the Barzo instead of the Mezcal hoping for more grip at the rear.Update - 6/15/2023 - definitely below average on wet roots - no tire is good on them - you will be scared riding these. My son and I both have them and both had significantly more trouble than other riders in recent wet and rooty conditions.
