LONG handle and works great with a roaring fire
LONG handle and works great with a roaring fire, you can cook a few dogs quick without burning your knuckles, or using a stick that breaks into the fire. The wood is a little soft; I wouldn't leave it hanging outside year round as the rain will eventually decay it.

This Hot Dog Roaster has a VERY long handle, which is great for using around the camp fire. It has good weight to it, so am confidant it will last a long time. I got this for my son in law, who is a camping fanatic! I told my Daughter I got him this for Christmas and she is convinced this will get a lot of use! They have been looking for something like this. I cannot wait to give it to him*** My opinions are my own and we're not influenced by the seller in anyway. Great hotdogs roaster
We really enjoy roasting hotdogs over a pit fire outside.

Made in Communist China
The spring holding the two sections together as a hinge is seriously lacking in design. I do not see this lasting past two campfire. if you are not careful that spring will "flip" off and be lost.The other design mistake is that they assumed that hotdog are all the same size. Hotdogs come in many different sizes. ballpark hotdogs. fat hotdogs. skinny hotdogs. Knockwurst style hotdogs. this thing appears to want skinny hotdogs.

Hinge connector is an afterthought
The product feels sturdy enough except for the ONE thin piece of wire wrapped around the basket hinge. This looks like an afterthought.They need to add 3 clamps to each open area, which my husband and I are going to do, to make it sturdy.
