New Prayers Paperback – April 1, 1990

This isn't you standard devotional book giving you a daily message. It is more of a primer for assisting you in your prayer life. I find reading a chapter a day along with my other devotional materials is very rewarding. I'm not Catholic but this French Catholic priest gets it when it comes to prayer, talking and waling with God every day of your life. I first read a small snippet from Michel Quoist in the Celtic Prayer Book which was inspiring and intriguing. It made me want more. I found his works on Amazon in the used book section. For a few dollars, I have a companion walking along with me in my prayer life that understands his fellow Christians' highs and lows, mistakes and successes, and faith and doubts.

I have just started reading this book and I savor each moment. It is not a read through in one setting kind of book but one that I will read and reread each prayer. I plan to buy several for friends.Connie P.

Another excellent book by Michel Quoist I have a number of his books and he never disappoints. I can highly recommend this book.The prayers are not just small verses as you would expect in a prayer book, they are short stories about everyday events in life.
