This product is a great way to hold your device in landscape on the hooded portion of your dash. I have a Jeep Cherokee, and this clamp was sturdy. I had no concerns with the clamp coming loose from the dash, and I also had no concerns with the phone (iPhone 6 Plus) coming loose from the holder. The Clamp has a convenient rubber bite to it to ensure that the phone stays in place.I originally purchased this product because I wanted a HUD like feel to it and this indeed delivered. After using the product for several weeks, I, however, fell out of love with it for three key reasons. The first is the charger cable. To charge, I have to ensure to have a cable long enough to reach its location. More often than not, this resulted in having to charge and install the phone "cable free" until I needed a charge again. My car has Bluetooth and USB to iPhone which not only reads the data to display on my infotainment center but doubles as a charger. So, this became a negative as I dislike having cables stretched across the car. The second detractor was that it was a little distracting because it did what I wanted it to do, too well. In other words, because it is directly in your line of sight, I found myself trying to look over it or around it when parking, negotiating tight turns, etc. Perfect for long-haul freeway driving but city driving may be hampered.Finally, the last reason I felt that this was not the ideal holder for me was that its ease of use to remove or install was not a one-handed operation, and the orientation was locked into landscape view. For the previously mentioned reasons, a one-handed operation would be the safest way to remove/install the phone due to my cord issues. I didn't feel like I could safely repeat placing the phone in the cradle while at highway speeds if I got charged up and had to re-install the phone. You have to push the clip open with one hand while inserting your phone with the other. Furthermore, sometimes all of those notifications that come in need a quick glance, but again, this would require me to remove it because I haven't mastered read with my head rotated at highway speeds.Overall, I would still recommend this product if you understand what you are getting. I would have given this three stars, but the fact is that most of the negative aspects are personality based while the overall build quality is excellent. If you know what you're getting and if you accept the landscape and cabling issues, this is a great phone holder that will ensure your eyes leave the road only for brief moments.

I tried out this product due to me wanting a place in my car to put my phone. First I had a vent holder, then I went to a car charger holder, now I have this. Compared to the other two holders, this one take no head movement for me to see my phone. So, maybe some bullet points...Pros:-Easy to place phone in holder-Zero head movement to see your phone-Grip on car and phone both seem solid-Looks are nice (carbon fiber look is okay, just stands out in my car)Neutral:-Installation is okay. Just feels like I had to pull down pretty hard. Although, I guess that's what keeps the solid grip.-Not sure if direct sunlight has negative effects, but I may suggest a sunshade for your windshield. Not sure how long the non-slip substance will last in direct sunlight. (Could be completely fine)-Feels like people could use this device to be more distracted, but, that's not the product's fault.Cons:-Not exactly "No view obstruction." This device with my phone installed required me to raise my seat up a bit. It takes a bit to look past the phone, but after that it feels natural.OVERALL:Great product for first HUD experience. I've seen those light emitting ones but never thought of trying them out. I saw this product and figured this would be a good start for a HUD in my car.

I’ve purchased so so so many cell phone holders and I’m still trying to find the perfect one to use in a semi truck. This product does work good holding the phone butt your phone is sideways and everything on the screen is smaller and harder to see . When I got this I had a galaxy s9+ which fit in this product butt barely I had a thin case on it to. If I would have had my otter box on my cell it wouldn’t fit. Now I have iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’m not even going to attempt to fit it in this product. To the point they don’t make cell phone holders for the big heavy phones I have one it fits in a cup holder and works ok butt keep your eyes on the road not on your cup holder.

Easy to use and the grip on the phone is great. Only downside is that it hold it so well sometimes it comes off that dash with the phone but I guess that’s kinda what makes it nice.

TL;DR While not perfect, this product works better for me than all the other varieties of phone holders I have tried in my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Beware phone overheating on extended drives.Construction is very stable and good quality, and I like being able to see my screen directly in front of me for GPS. It's easy to get the phone in and out of. My only concern is that it puts the phone directly in the sun on the dashboard, and the clip doesn't really block it, so if I'm driving for an extended period of time sometimes my phone will overheat. It's still better than those suction cup ones that stick to the windshield and fall off when the glass gets hot. I cracked my phone screen that way. I also like this better than the vent clip kind because of the positioning. I don't want to block the air, and the phone can also get too hot or cold depending on the air coming out unless you turn off that vent, in which case you don't get air from that vent.

Ne pas utiliser dans un véhicule dans lequel le siège conducteur est en position basse avec le tableau de bord dans la ligne d'observation de la route sinon, votre GSM génère un angle mort trop important jusqu'à +/- 20 mètres! Par contre pratique dans un fourgon ou camionnette.Vérifier l'emplacement de fixation avant achat, il faut une planche de bord avec une épaisseur régulière ne dépassant pas les 50 mm.

La pinza es muy buena, tiene goma en la mordaza que sujeta el móvil y también en la que se sujeta al salpicadero. Cuando se quita el móvil apenas quita espacio y visibilidad; y cuando se pone lo sujeta muy fuertemente, vamos, que no se cae sin querer. El móvil de la foto es de 5,5 pulgadas, y encaja de sobra, creo que no habría problema con móviles de 6 pulgadas o más. Un punto importante es que la posición en la que se sitúa en el coche permite no perder de vista la carretera cuando se consulta el GPS.La alfombrilla por otra parte es como silicona, muy suave y es capaz de sujetar el móvil si se pone en una superficie lisa casi vertical, en el salpicadero lo único es ponerlo en una superficie más o menos plana para que la superficie aumente.La única pega es que donde se sitúa el móvil, justo frente al volante, quita un poco de visión de la carretera. No lo considero importante de todas formas, ya que la reducción es mínima.

Je fais beaucoup de route, le tableau de bord de la Bmw E91 Touring permet cette installation et s’adapte très bien ! Bon à savoir, régler la hauteur de votre siège pour pouvoir voir par dessus sinon ça vous cache la vue !

I love everything about this product. So much so in fact, this is my second time purchasing one. It securely holds my iPhone 8 Plus at exactly the right height, and is easy to insert/remove the device...So... this begs the question, why did I buy a second one? Short answer; the first one broke. The phone holder attaches to the car via a piece of stretched plastic. On my 2015 Volvo S60’s thick dashboard, the clip is stretched quite a bit to fit above the speedometer, probably beyond what was intended by the designer. My guess is the extreme stretching, and constant exposure to the hot sun, fatigued the plastic to the point where the plastic broke and could not be repaired.I purchased another because even though the first one broke, I liked the product so much. If I wind up buying 2 of these a year, it won’t be the end of the world.
