Spiritual Warfare: Overcoming the Enemy (40-Minute Bible Studies)

I know this book is intended for groups but I wanted to study spiritual warfare so I’m enjoying the short lessons and how it helps to dissect the Word and identify the ways satan tries to come against believers. I say get the book. Easy to break everything down and digest.

Kay Arthur has a wonderful way of weaving the Bible into a cohesive message. Very good Bible study.

It’s concise but FULL of the spiritual tactics we need to combat the warfare from the enemy. People know there is evil in this world but as believers sometime we get complacent in the hustle and bustle of this world and don’t realize that these aren’t just hard times or difficulties in life that we face. No but by choosing to walk in righteousness we are actually set aside to be attacked by satan on purpose. Thus if you don’t purposely seek to learn how to be victorious against the enemy then it is only a matter of time that our flesh will fail us. This book is written in a group study format but is just as enriching in a self study for identifying who our enemy is and then giving strategies to fight them straight out of the scriptures. I never leave book reviews thus as I begin my spiritual victories over strongholds that the enemy had over me for far too long I ask and pray that any saints who read this review please offer a prayer of strength and encouragement on my behalf as I seek to draw closer to God. A great lesson plan, a great book to read, and an understanding of who your adversary is! It teaches you to protect your mind your heart and the people around you everyday we have an enemy to be on guard for.. This helps know your enemy! Thank you

I like how it reminds me to stay alert and not to let my guard down.

Anything put out by Precepts for Life and Kay Arthur is bound to be a great study. What I love about Kay is that you don't get a bunch of her opinions. You are led through the Word of God to come to your own bible-based conclusions. I did this study with my two adult daughters and it was perfect because with 9 kids between them and busy families, they never had to say "I didn't get my homework done." We just did the study together via Skype. I heartily recommend it--it's a short study, but it has MEAT in it!

I ordered this book for a women's study that I was taking. The author, Kay Arthur, wrote this book with a strong voice which comes through clearly when studying the chapters. The section topics were very useful and our group of women always had lots of good discussion surrounding the subjects. There is also a leader book for guiding the instruction which is worth checking out as well.

Being a Christian and not a member of any organized religion,I am always on the lookout for helpful books to take me further along the "path". I have bought very many ,but seldom found one as good as this one.It explains what Christians have to watch out for. Good if you use the information in your daily life.
