Bradfield Natural Horticultural Vinegar is an effective alternative to harsh chemical weed killers. Most effective on warm, sunny days. The heat of the midday sun will turn most plants totally brown 2 to 6 hours after application.

Didn't work on my uncommon "weeds" - might work for you on different plants than mine
The product arrived in great condition and I am sure it works on some weeds, but I had 3 types of plants in particular and it didn't work on any them. It absolutely killed it off above ground, but each time, the plant ultimately grew back. One plant is Japanese Anemone which is a lovely plant but which has become invasive. The other was some kind of ivy - I don't know what kind - that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much I pull it up. And the third is Gooseneck Loosestrife, which also has become invasive. I suspect the commonality of all these plants might be that they spread by underground runners. So, the vinegar did not work for me but if you are spraying more common weeds, perhaps you will have a better outcome.

horticultural vinegar
This product is for agricultural uses, not for food. It kills plants, any plant, when sprayed on them. It is considered a burn-down herbicide because it kills the leaves much more quickly than the roots. It works very well; however, it takes several applications on some weeds like crabgrass. I will use it again and would recommend it to other gardeners who want to use more organic methods of killing weeds in their gardening and landscaping.

Better than expected
I bought this because I felt guilty about using toxins. I also worried about putting toxins in the ground so close to where I live. I had hoped that vinegar would at least provide "decent" weed killing effectiveness.Big surprise. It works far, far better than commercially available weed killers. It is not even close. I put this stuff into a sprayer and spray just a little on a weed and the weed is gone and doesn't come back.Amazing.

But I was disappointed overall. Since it said concentrate
It did kill the weeds (and wild violets). But I was disappointed overall. Since it said concentrate, I expected to be able to dilute it to the stated percentage. But no, you have only the gallon which is already concentrated.

Unbeatable on a warm day!
The instructions on the container say that you can dilute this product by 1/2 when it's over 85 degrees. It was about 85 degrees on the day I used it, but I still wanted to use it undiluted so I could get the best results. And boy, did I! Within 24 hours, everything I sprayed was dead. Grass, clover, small mustard seedlings and other weeds. Since this is spring, I was using it mainly on young weeds and grasses, but it killed 100 percent of everything I sprayed it on. I am impressed, and will definitely buy more. If there's any downside at all, it's that your yard will smell somewhat strongly of vinegar for a few days afterwards. But better a vinegar smell than a more toxic chemical weed-killer like GoalTender or Round-up.

pretty effective
The flyer that comes with this says it is made from acetous fermentation of ethyl alcohol, includes 20% food grade vinegar and yucca extract. Mist does fly up as you spray and this would likely be irritating to the throat so a simple dust mask is probably good enough. I also wear gloves so as not to irritate my skin. So far, I have found that it works on thistle, bindweed and another tenacious weed with the word mallow in its name. Per the flyer, it doesn't work well on plants with large root systems, including grasses like Bermuda grass, ivies, brush and trees. If I want to protect nearby plants, I lay a towel on them until the weeds have been coated with spray.I notice that now that summer is almost over, the price of this product has decreased substantially. I hope that they continue keeping the price low as I plan to keep using it.Now that I know that products like RoundUp are like a nuclear blast in that they kill the plant, the roots, the soil microorganisms and earthworms, I don't want to use them at all but may use them on difficult areas selectively.
