Product works like magic,
worth the money. very fast acting and blued my gun better than expected. The bottle arrived with slightly an open lid, however didn't spill. This product works as advertised and exceeded my expectations. I used it to touch up a WW II gun (P38) I have, and it blended with the original bluing like it was part of it. I am very happy with this stuff. Earlier, I tried the touch up pin from the same company, but was not happy with the result. It was obvious and didn't blind in. I can't say enough about this stuff. Get it and you can thank me later.

Amazing Product.
I usually dont right many product reviews, but this product is so impressive. I am totally happy with the results I got from this. I was skeptical on using a cold bluing product but Wow i am impressed.I bought a Mosin Nagant for a project to refinish and re blue the barrel. so after a little bit of research I decided on the Super Blue by Birchwood Casey. and the results I got were amazing.A helpful hint , the more polished the surface the better the results. I did spend the extra time to remove all the old bluing and sanding to a very smooth finish. I started with 120 grit, then 320, then 500 grit and finished with 800 grit. this gave me a very smooth polished surface. I applied the bluing with the cotton squares which gave me a very uniform and streak free finish. I repeated three times and then used #0000 steel wool and the results seriously look like it has been professionally done. You use very little and have plenty left to do more projects. I very much recommend using this product. You wont be disappointed.

Worked great on a old rusty shotgun
Prep work is key! I sandblasted the barrell and wiped it down with acetone, then rinsed with water. Immediately dry and apply the bluing liquid, then rinse and repeat. I think I did like 4 coats, and it turn out great. One thing I didn't like was the application pads. They are to small and hard to handle while bluing a large barrell. I suppose a small sponge might work better.

Excellent Cold Blue solution
This stuff worked really well for me. I re-blued a old side by side double barrel. I can't say enough about how well this stuff worked.

Darkens fast
I needed to fix a few screws on my Henry rifle that messed up by using the wrong screwdrivers. I filed and sanded the screw heads, reblued and the results look factory fresh. I’d recommend this product. I can’t say how it would work trying to blue an entire firearm, but for my purpose, it worked as needed.

Turns steel black like magic
This is good stuff. I used it to blue the flat platen and tensioning arm on my home built 2" x 72" belt grinder. Going to use it on the work rest too in the future. Paint wasn't an option as it would quickly rub off, but this stuff is holding strong thus far. I know there are mixed opinions on how well cold blueing protects against rust. Hoping I won't have too many issues in that department. I will say to make sure you clean and degrease your parts very well. The end result relies on how much time you put into your prep work, much like painting.

12 Ga
Restored an old 12 Ga. single shot. I'm not a gunsmith but it worked very well restoring the shotgun.
